Bro I love what you do. I think there is importance in documenting the struggle so that we see we are in the same struggle no matter where we are on this planet. However, I do feel that in some cases this documents a confirming stereotype giving people who don't really know us and have to contact with us ammo to say "see, I told you they live like this..." The 313 in your name lets me know you're from the same place as me. In showing the worst, help to break that stereotype by balancing it out and showing the Rosedale Parks, Palmer Woods, University Districts, etc. just to let them know that there are beautiful areas that are majority us...just my idea, other than that keep doing what you're doing and be safe doing it...peace brotha.

I live in Dallas. What's sad is that I quickly recognized this as being South Dallas. The scary part is that the Texas state fairgrounds are in the middle of South Dallas 😳Every now and then come fair time you hear of fairgoers getting lost in South Dallas and getting robbed.

Trust me you have absolutely nothing to worry about.... this might sound crazy but you could literally walk through the darkest area of south Dallas and nobody will touch you or even say a word to you. Only people that are targeted in south Dallas are other blac people. They know that if anything were to happen to you they will pay the price....but if he hurt someone that looks like him it will be swept under the rug. Right up the street from that store in the beginning of the video across from Williams chicken is were my friend was un-alived in broad daylight and no arrest has been made.... it became a cold case less than 48 hours. As a former independent concessionaire on the road for four years, it doesn't matter where you go, the fairgrounds are never in a good section of town. It didn't matter where we went, you never left to get a pack of gum by yourself on or off the fairgrounds after hours. Always by two's or fours. The only exception to this rule was Miami-Dade County Fair in Miami, Florida. Long story there.

I delivered Amazon packages in south Dallas from September of last year up until the end of May. I never saw anything too crazy except for people tweaking here and there and 2 ladies peeing in the middle of a side walk and one behind an old abandoned building. A man once jumped into my van asking me if I had a extra phone on me he could buy, I said I have a camera in the van so you can look but the camera’s got you on tape. Other than that people were nice and kept to themselves, a lot of elderly people are the ones hanging outside all the time.

Definitely. Houston is eclectic with hoodery as big cities do, but the Oklahoma-Arkansas influences of Dallas hoods make it scarier than Houston Louisiana influences by a wide margin. People get a lot a shit wrong about houston,,, like “traffic”. you gotta look for traffic and rush hour to hit traffic in houston. Tbh cant speak for dallas but i never hit traffic the time i was there… no geographic restrictions in texas so there aint non-construction related stopped traffic like there is in Florida or California or Colorado or New York. San antonio got horrible construction traffic and third world rio grande valley level hoods but it’s becoming as fun, constructed, and humid as houston very fast and not face burning hot like austin/dallas

Use to make gasoline deliveries (1977 - 1981) in South Dallas for Exxon. Most of the owners were on cash only deliveries (credit problems) and needed their deliveries late as possible because of the small storage capacities. Most of these deliveries were after 11:00 p.m. There were many times that I was the only white face within 5 square miles. I would walk from the owners desk (most dealers had a firearm sitting on top of the desk to deter a robbery) while they counted out between $8k to $10k in small bills. I would carry the cash out to the truck in at least (8) 11"x17" manilla envelopes. There were ALWAYS guys sitting on cars, drinking beer, smoking dope and just hanging out. Willie Berry was a dealer that I delivered to all the time, I believe his station was off of Haskell Blvd. NEVER was I accosted, but I was always tested verbally just to get a reaction. Then I was usually offered a beer, which I politely turned down. Just because they were poor and black didn't make them bad folks.

It's just not Dallas Texas !! I've watched videos of Baltimore and Chicago the shit list goes on !! People blame everything but their selfs. Economic reason everything they can use a excuse. I worked hard at those pissy jobs everyone complaining about. Guess what I'm friggin retired and my home is paid for off those shitty reasons. People just want everything given to them.
