It's actually incredible that college students are making so much money - filming this video inspired me a ton! Hopefully you get some good ideas or inspiration from this video. No matter your age, starting a side hustle or business is the move (in my opinion), or even getting a job can be great to learn. People say that gen Z is lazy but if there's ever a video to prove otherwise, this is it. Absolute beasts at USC and I'm excited to film future videos here! Hope you have an amazing day! -Charlie

How do you draw inspiration from people who seem to come from money and have a head start? I’m genuinely curious. One kid said 4-5k a month wasn’t that much. They felt detached from how life is for regular people.

@@LettuceLand Agree, 1/2 of them kids seem to be nepo babies/have well connected parents, received a fair amount of financial assistance from their affluent parents (monthly allowances seed money, etc...) or some sort of other advantageous head start compared to other people.... even though they will never admit this and claim they're from working class or middle class backgrounds. Saying $4,000-5,000 is "not a lot for a college student" to make each month is wildly out of touch btw... Glad Charlie reminded one of his interviewees of that. Not trying to take anything away from their success or hate since I grew up in a wealthy suburb myself where a decent amount of kids got luxury cars for their 16th birthday and were handed a lot of things including money and career making professional connections. It's a bit misleading to ignore affluent backgrounds and wealthy parents. Don't compare yourself to them and beat yourself up for not being as successful as them.

@hansonel, then how is the average person supposed to get ahead? The advice some of you give is bad.
@567xd
@567xd Күн бұрын
They all have different backgrounds with different GPAs etc. You don't need this college to get ahead. Look at what they're doing. Working, networking, doing schoolwork, etc. They haven't made it just because they attend a prestigious university.

it is very unusual to want to still go to college yet making a very good career for yourself without it. College is not going to teach you life skills or what you think you will be making. They honestly should just self study what they want and then that's it. No need for college
@anonymouse527
@anonymouse527 Күн бұрын
They view college as a hang out spot though. And a way to get their nagging parents off their backs. They may learn a thing or two, but where else you gonna find a little town full of young people with a similar socio-economic background?

It’s not unusual, college is often times a place of just networking. As an Alum from USC i’ve had lots of friends attend for a couple years just to build connections then drop out. Almost all of them are extremely successful due to these connections and unique opportunities the school provided
