Nichols talking about what a movie REALLY means and how an audience doesn't understand disliking what a character does plot wise does NOT mean they have to dislike the entire film - spot on. But the part about critics and the "I saw it coming" aspect of awards for art is 1000% correct.

I love that in the “All Alone” song Tim C sings it’s actually my old friend Micheal McGrath, playing the sidekick, who makes the song funny. And of course because he’s not a star they never mentioned him here. Typical. Lol

He talks and thinks like Meryl Streep: no surprise there! The only difference is that Meryl is much more expressive and theatrical, she's actress but otherwise, their analysis are similar and amongst others they talk slowly, they build (or built) their sentences, they breathe similarly ...

A sad thing about Charlie Rose is that with all his interviewing talent, he could not keep his hands to himself. He had to be dominant and controlling.
