I think this song resonates with Belgian artist René Magritte's work "ceci n'est pas une pipe" in several ways. Obviously there's the title. They created an ordinary looking love song and then comment on the song itself ("I bet this song sounds real familiar"), kind of like how René created an ordinary looking pipe (or, not a pipe!) and then commented on it.
