Charlotte is 2nd only to New York as the most important banking center in the United States. It ranks 1st as the banking center that completes the most global transactions. Charlotte is also the most important center for marketing electric power, as Duke Energy is now the nation's top power producer. The city is a perfect example of what great things can happen when the government gets out of the way, and allows the spirit of entrepreneurship and free market to grow the economy.

I've been ranking metro areas, retirement areas, and small towns across the U.S. since 1985. What the man said in the video is true. Charlotte does have the best combination of attributes that makes for a very high quality of life and standard of living, especially compared to other metro areas around the nation. Awesome Purchasing Power (annual income vs. cost of living), strong economy, great 4-season climate, the geographical center of the Carolinas, unique recreational assets, lots of outdoor activities, very nice people, clean/green/flowering, good healthcare, convenient to tons of day trips from the mountains to the beaches. It's just an incredible place to live. Very well done video!

Truly outstanding video and it really places the finger on the pulse and heart of the city. Looking forward to many wonderful years here and continually proving that I made the right choice to leave Ft. Lauderdale for a real city with vision. Way to go, Charlotte!

I love Charlotte. I'm currently going to school here, and I just love the city. Yes, there are some bad areas, but it's a city, what do you expect? I also had no idea for the longest time that Charlotte was a bigger city than Atlanta. By 23 places at that! This city is growing faster than most cities in this country and I can't wait to see what is to come.

You left out the fun strip Wilkerson Blvd and the Paper Doll. A hit with out of towners... Also, the weirdness of the place make it perfect for hatching the likes of Jim Bakker of PTLS and many other notorious characters

I'm new to Charlotte..so correct me if I am wrong..Isn’t the % of homeless individuals in the Queen city nearly double that of NYC? Is it true that on a given night, there are over 6,800 people sleeping on streets, in shelters, and living in places that are uninhabitable? Aren’t two-thirds of those individuals children?
@MrVidaeverdade7 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. www.acsh.org/news/2016/10/13/which-cities-have-most-homeless-people-10300 881 homeless per 100k population in NYC. Charlotte doesn't even rank.
