The first lady to describe the painting has a fine memory! This method works. You can make this work in those odd bits of time between other studies. Simple & cheap & effective.

@Teoroy, larger pictures are recommend because they allow the child to see more details of the painting. Our Picture Study Portfolios include 8.5x11" prints.

We had a question on yesterday's quote asking what picture study is. Here's a demonstration video taken from a live event with Sonya. (When she tells the group to look at the painting, feel free to pause the video and visit this page to do the picture study along with the recording! fineartamerica.com/featured/the-bouquet-of-daisies-jean-francois-millet.html)

If I were to spread the works out over the 12 weeks, do I do twelve prints or just do 6, but do a print every other week? For the week off, what would I do?

We recommend doing six pictures each 12-week term. On the off weeks, you can read an artist biography to learn about the artist as a person. A family-friendly biography is included with each of our Picture Study Portfolios.
