One of my favorite moments ever put on film. 35 years later it is just as moving as it was when it was released.

Presumably inspired by Allen's second wife, Louise Lasser, a talented and (in her younger years) really stunning woman who struggled with mental illness. The lines in the film between Allen and Tony Roberts about how Dorrie was amazing two days a month and lost for the other 28 came from experience.

I always saw this scene as showing the "2 days a month she was the most exciting woman on the planet, but the rest of the month see was a basket case" since it cuts around 28 times and she is isn't struggling in a couple of the shots.

Most powerful scene in the movie.

@sufferajetsettee Try, just try to contribute anything near to what he has chronicled on the human condition, and see if you can be flippantly criticized by someone foolish enough to post your home address on your site. Think about your privacy and the security you have compromised. So sad...Woody is a National Treasure.

Like Woody Allen would score with a dame like C.R. Talk about suspension of disbelief!

@sufferajetsettee Try, just try to create anything NEAR to the body of work he has pumped out. THERE ARE NO MONUMENTS TO CRITICS--especially on KZbin!

A guy like Woody Allen takes pride in the fact that he has driven women to this level of insanity and desperation. It validates his ego, and operates as temporary relief of his pervasive insecurity. He's bragging in this picture. He gets off on it. He's not merely a sociopath. He's a psychopath.
