This foundation looked so good! I also wasn't a fan of the Magic Foundation. It looked so bad on my skin, I was shocked. It is still, to this day, the only makeup product I have ever returned. Thankfully Beautylish has the best customer service I've ever dealt with, and they made it a breeze to return. I'm excited to see this foundation in action more. The Hollywood Flawless Filter has become a holy grail item for me, so I have high hopes for this 🤓

I use the Magic foundation 3.5 at the mo, but will definitely try this one. Anything that's got extra hydration in it gets the thumbs up 👍 from me and if it's got a subtle glow as well I will be well impressed. It looks lovely on you, very natural.

Thank you for your review. I am basically the same skin tone as you and I am thinking of buying the new foundation in either 6 or 7 neutral. I have Magic foundation in 6 medium and it is a bit light. Do you have any thoughts on the shade range between the new vs magic foundation? I mean is a shade 6 medium in magic the same as a shade 6 neutral in the new foundation? How do you tell if a product has flashback? Does it just look white in a photo? I'm getting married in October and I have oily skin. I've tried a couple of drugstore foundations and so far I've had the best luck with a CoverGirl 24hr matte. Any suggestions for other drugstore solutions? I'm on a budget :(

Plum Luck L’Oréal infallible has a few formulas and boast 24 hour wear. Many nurses I work with use it and it definitely lasts the entire 12-1/2 hour shift. Setting powder and setting spray will also be key.

I don’t use fake tan, I tan well during the summer month so no need for it. In the summer I would be around NC30 in the winter I would mix in NC25.

Because I had a feeling 6N would work with my current colour, however, with the reviews of the foundation oxidising I figured if I got a darker shade (7N) and a lighter shade (4N) than my skin-tone, either way I could mix the shades to suit me throughout the summer & winter months. If I just opted for 5N it would have ended up being too light for my skin right now. Where possible, I will always try and go a shade up and a shade down so I can mix them to suit any time of the year.

I don’t get paid to create content so I feel I should explain why it’s important for me to make money from ads; I had a camera to purchase so I could film the content, lights to purchase so I could create a clean studio environment, a computer to purchase so I can edit the content, and that’s all before I even think of earning money from the ads. Next is Final Cut Pro so I am able to edit said footage. Week-on-week are all the products I’ve purchased to use in every single tutorial, the full-day it’s taken me to film each video, the DAYS it takes to edit each video, and I do all this twice a week. If I don’t earn money from ads, who is going to pay me to create the content week-on-week, year-on-year that I’ve produced for the past 10 years here on KZbin? I couldn’t possibly do another full time job AND dedicate the time to creating content for this channel that provides a plethora of FREE knowledge to you the viewer. I’m not guaranteed a single penny from any upload, if the viewership is low (which is a huge problem right now for most content creators as KZbin is oversaturated with content creators) then we, the content creator, work for FREE most weeks as the low viewing videos barely make a $1! We rely on our viral videos to bring us an income. So please, before you point the finger and leave a rude and unjust comment, think about what it’s taken me to provide you with the video you’ve just sat and watched. I’m sorry if the ads are an inconvenience to you but without them I cannot continue to provide you with the FREE content. I have mortgage to pay for, food to put on the table, bills to pay, just like everyone else. You can’t go into Starbucks and ask for a free coffee, you can’t go into Sephora and just take makeup off the shelf without paying, not many things are FREE in this world but my content is - so please be a bit more grateful.
