I get the concept of these all-to-go compacts. They remind me of 20s-40s makeup compacts that had a lipstick, powder anf eye colour housed in a glorious bedazzled compact. Some even housed cigarette holders, which really shows the dichotomy compared to women of today. Some of this concept seems on trend, but I don't really know how practical these would be.

I have to add that $75 for a case of three cream products doesn’t seem outrageous to me, as Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown cream sticks are $30 each and Westman Atelier mini trio is $75 - products that I adore 💕 As long as the formula is good, I think it’s fair. I may hold out until Sephora carries them and wait for a sale like I do with higher priced products. Like your videos, I remind myself I don’t have to jump fast, I’m not a KZbinr 😀

Before the pandemic I did my makeup on the train every morning, and I found this was easier with cream products because you can just scribble and smudge and it’s very forgiving of train movement 😂. Therefore I was delighted when I saw these. I do think it’s a bit of a missed opportunity though. They could’ve done double-enders - two eyeshadow shades and a bronzer on the other end of the highlighter. Having said that, I think I didn’t bother with bronzer myself on the train 🤔 When you are fiddling about with the sticks on the move, the lids do tend to go flying and you end up trying to retrieve them from under your fellow passenger’s foot 😂 So I guess that’s the reasoning behind it… Have a lovely weekend Charlotte! xx

I love this kinda thing bc I love creams well blushes and eyeshadow. I recently finally tried the highlighter wand from her and I'm in love. So I was thinking this should be similar to that at least the highlighter part. Love creams so quick and easy sounds right up my alley. This is so vintage looking yet so refreshing for a makeup release I'm glad I picked up the date night kit. I'm wanting other shades to swap around so I can't wait til I can buy the refills.

Not a holiday product answer for me, for the simple reason I go where its hot and unless the room has a mini fridge, I'm often opening a complete melted mass of product and it's never quite the same again. Powder, powder, powder all the way for me. The only creme product I own now, apart from concealer is praline blush, more sentimental really, as was Mel's favourite.

Fabulous video Charlotte. Great to see these new products and I love the blend-ability of them and how quick you can apply. Beautiful cheek work, and we all know how much you love a blush. A friend of mine who has had the kit has also done two lip looks by using the lip and cheek on its own on lips and then taken the highlighter on the finger to make the lip colour more glossy and shiny. She also popped the highlighter on top of the eyeshadows for some different looks too. Quite a lot of versatility and I think you've won me over and I might invest and try the kit. Looks lush on you. :-)

I use many cream products and love them. But I have noticed that using a brush for application results in a much better and more long lasting result for me. I must have clumsy fingers, but often make something of a mess with eyeshadow if I use only my fingers. These products seemed to work amazingly well!

I just received the Pretty Fresh lip & cheek refill and I'm so glad that it has a lid. I was afraid it would be a disposable plastic lid of some kind to discourage people from buying them without the case. It wore very nicely over a plain spf lip balm and I adore it.

Agreed I think she should make more refills for these with bronzer and like a concealer. I would buy another case for that. U can buy the case and the refills separately to build ur own. Tho I don't know y from launch the eyeshadow sticks were out of stock and still r the refills that is. I wish they weren't bc I was wanting to buy them all myself and pick the colors I wanted. Instead I just got 1 the date night colorway for now but plan on buyin a few of the refills as well.

i actually don’t mind that the products have no caps! i think it’s nice for if you don’t have a surface to put your makeup on - you can just one-hand the whole process and be done with it, no need to fumble around with the compact, the cap, and the stick itself but i kind of wish they’d added a complexion product instead of the highlighter if the blush is dewy enough, the highlighter might not be “necessary” (at least not in a kit like this with limited space) instead they could’ve added an option of swapping out the highlighter for a mini foundation stick or concealer stick so that you get everything you need in the set - i know it’s not that hard to grab a concealer alongside the little ct cigarette case, but it would’ve been nice to get everything you need for on the go or touch ups

If I could only pick one blush formula for the rest of my life it would be this. They also pre-date the big cream and liquid blush craze by years. Thank you for the review. I was interested in these kits - until you said $75. That's too much for 3 sticks. I'm always looking for space savers, but that's just too much. I can't wait for the next Sephora sale, either, because I didn't buy enough in 2021 so I was downgraded to "Insider" meaning I get only 10% of. That doesn't even cover sales taxes where I live. Nice idea, but this will be a pass for me.

Theory on cream products from your pal in her early 50s. In the 70s and early 80s, rouge was certainly a thing. It was gloopy and hard to blend and all the old ladies loved them because their skin didn't look dry (and good grief did my grandmother love some rouge). I never ever thought they would be for me because they were a flashback to dance recitals and awkwardness and all things embarrassing. Flashforward to the last couple of years. As I hit my late 40s, I had to start rethinking how much powder could go on my face. I dipped my finger into the cream products with Chanel highlighter. I was intrigued. And then boom, suddenly cream products were everywhere and the formula was totally different. There's just something about them when the right product is used in targeted moderation. There is just a different luminosity than you can get with a powder. The old ladies were right and if they were alive today, they would be buying makeup like mad! I am waiting for the fall Sephora sale and then these will become my travel makeup. I love watching your evolution to cream not-hater. Daresay we get a cream-tolerator-leaning-to-liker by 2023m

These look super fun and easy for on the go application. I loved your right eye and cheek/lip colours not so much the highlight I preferred your left side highlight. But all in all not a bad little handy component to shove in your bag and out the door you go ! It would be great if you could swap and choose the colours, but then you could do that when picking refills xx

These r the type of creams esp blushes that I go for where they're super easy to apply and don't pickup anything and r not tacky or sticky. I think if u try more creams made like these u would become a cream lover. I'm not a cream or liquid highlighter lover tho very few I will use and mainly now it's just the CT highlighter wands.

I've used lipsticks periodically as my blusher for years - it's so pretty to carry the colour from cheeks to lips. I get this but then again, I don't get it 😕 What's wrong with grabbing one of her face palettes and a lipstick? You get more lots options from the palette and the lipstick can be popped into a pocket (it has a lid 💥), for use throughout the day. Genius 😉. Super quick review Charlotte, blimey!!!!!! Her face palettes are powder vs these which are cream, so they are far more risky to travel with and much bulkier than these. You also can't mix and match shades in those as you can with these, ao they do offer something different imo x
