Thanks a ton! Didn't ever think that many people would want to watch but I appreciate every person who does! I mostly started this to show people when I can't ride anymore. KZbin is free data storage!

@@CarolinaMTB Same exact thing here. I enjoy filming, watching the footage, and then actually editing it. It is fun to go back and relive these rides on video. And like you said, we won't be able to do this forever.

Beaty’s dirt jumps really only work well on a dirt jump specific bike, and you don’t rly notice the rain ruts when your actually riding.

yea that's what it looks like. The ruts aren't THAT bad but I don't know what the maintenance schedule or plan is so they could get really bad down the road. The wood lips were a good call though I think.

Is this park open at night for riding with a headlight? Thx

Yep, check the target trailblazers website for hours though!

Big jumps at the pump track aren't hard... just require full commitment on an enduro/trail bike. The higher you get on the wall ride the easier it is!

I ride at Beatty a lot. My kids do cross country and their team practices there so I find myself with 2.5 hours to burn while I am there 4 or 5 days a week in the fall. The worst part of the trail is the non mountain bike trail users. It's not their fault there are just a bunch of people using the trails that are not normal "outdoorsy" people and they don't always know that they should move for other trail users. I have ridden up to people who were in the trail, slowly because I saw them up ahead, and had them just look at me stopped in the trail because they were blocking it. I then asked nicely if I could get through and it was like the thought had never occurred to them. They were nice and moved out of the way but they just had no idea. Like I said, not their fault, they were probably new trail users. There are also people that live nearby that always walk on the trail who are just over it and could care less if you are riding your bike that are never going to move and are mad that you are riding there. I assume that at some point in the future mountain bikes will be banned from riding there because of other trail users and mountain bikers being incompatible. This is just my opinion and I always slow down and am super friendly with everyone but based on the response I get from some people I think it is just a matter of time... All of that being said there is some fun to be had on this trail if you take time to learn all of the lines. The new pump track stuff is really good! I guess I am just going to offer my opinions on all of these videos, sorry...

I definitely get that. This day, everyone was very nice and moved. Only one person running going the wrong way and he was HAULING tail so it wasn't an inconvenience at all. And I appreciate all of the opinions! We all got em haha. These videos I make are just opinions!

Yep, lots of walkers and trail runners here especially on nice 70 degree or so days. Also, I'm pretty sure that if I'm ever going to get bitten by a dog while riding it will be here. I've run up on more off leash dogs here than any other Charlotte trail. It isn't even close actually. Still, I really like the trail. As long as you mentally know that you'll probably have to slow down at least once or twice to pass respectfully on a lap it's all good.

a lot of the park is bordered by houses and apartments, and the trails have "community exits" for homeowners to access the trails on foot for their daily walks. I rode there a bunch of times recently while visiting my folks and there were more walkers than riders by far. I doubt that they would close the trails to bikes and I think the system they have (bikes one direction, walkers the opposite direction) works as far visibility for walkers to step aside, and they seem to have adequate signs to show that policy. I did encounter about 5-10% of walkers going the wrong direction still, and they seemed inconvenienced to have to step aside. Just be kind, give them a polite shout you're coming behind them, and thank them when you pass. Most of the time they say "you're welcome". That goes a long way with people as far as sharing a space. Eventhough the trails were made for mixed use (hikers and bikers), they were DESIGNED for bikers with all the switchbacks, small jumps, bridges, and berms. Hopefully the local homeowners can't influence who can or can't use the trails in the future, and they expand and connect the greenway they started there to cater to walkers.
