Hey, that was great! You seem to have a smooth family routine that not only allows for meals together, but also manages to keep your home clean and tidy, and on top of laundry. I seriously think I would get more laundry done if I had my washer and dryer on our main floor. Such a smart floorplan! Honestly, as much as I hate waking up to a messy kitchen, some nights I have zero energy reserves to do anything after dinner but chillax. I'd choose another margarita over dishes any night.

I feel like I could just walk right up to your front door, come in and sit a spell. Our evenings are pretty chill, my husband and I recently sold our houses (my mom lived in the 2nd one), and we're hanging out in a townhouse for the next year until we move in with my father in law to help take care of him in his twilight years. He's going to be 84 this summer, my mom is 81. It will be a house full, but all of us will be together for the next season of our lives. You and Danny have a wonderful life. You need a pepper either jalapeño or serranos for a pico de gallo. What you are making is more of just a fresh vegetables topping per se? Pico de gallo is a salsa with some heat.

Yes, my family is a divided bunch when it comes to jalapeño. Half love them and half hate them so we keep minced jalapeño in the fridge (in a jar, but it’s better than nothing) and people add it afterward! I actually forgot it this time.

Thank you so much. We don't have a hard and fast rule about phones at the dinner table. It depends on the night and who is at dinner. Most nights the kids put their phones away on their own. If we have guests, the phones are always away. But if we are eating in groups because others have things to do, it's a little more lax.
