My very recent ex-girlfriend’s mother (very sweet woman) did a tarot card reading on my ex about a week before we broke up. I remember one of the cards was that there was going to be a very big change soon for her. The following week, things just seemed awfully dark surrounding our lives. We had been having issues with money, and not spending enough time with each other because of opposite work schedules, issues of my own, and issues of her own, but I wholeheartedly believe that at our weakest point as a couple, demons were invited into our lives. It’s some really dark stuff, the more I think about it. I think most don’t understand the type of spirits they are dealing with, and think it’s just “the universe” or what have you. Luckily, I am now closer with God, more than I ever have been before. Christ is King my friends.

My ‘oh shit’ moment with gambling came when my Mom’s friend told us a story about a day when she decided to clean out their shed. Her husband would do scratch tickets daily. And like many other gamblers, he saved all of them because he was going to ‘turn them in’ and get a write off. She started looking through a box, and started noticing a two dollar winner here, a dollar there, a missed five on another. He was so intent on ‘hitting it big’ that his mind didn’t even register all of these micro winners. She sat there and went through every box, in tears, as it began to add up into the hundreds and eventually into the thousands. They struggled to stay afloat too, so it was extra devastating.
