You are a great teacher and beginners are lucky to have you as their teacher. You mentioned that your rotary blade is dull, but after listening to your cutting in this video and your Star quilt video, I think the real problem is that the screw on the cutter is not on properly - it is too loose. I’ve had this problem before and I know that when you tighten the screw it can easily become too tight and not want to move at all. It is difficult to get it just right - sometimes turning the screw over helps. I eventually had to get a new cutter. Good luck, I hope it works out. Again I think you’re a very good teacher who touches all the bases.
