I just floated a border with the checkerboard 1.5 inch squares for the first time. Very nerve-wracking for this beginner. Can't imagine doing it with blocks to blocks. I had solid strips which prevented wonky stretching. But. I love your scraps and the look you got. Very fun. Glad you have all fully recovered.

Quilt math: Each block would be 4 jelly roll strips. Within 1 strip you can cut 16 2 1/2” pieces. For Di’s 12 block quilt, you would need 48 strips or 3 1/3 yards.

@@sisterchicksquilting hahaha, I didn’t even think of that. I truly love and appreciate your videos. I actually made a red white and blue Moda wall hanging inspired by you. And I’m sorry about your crash. 💥 no shortage of problems and tragedies in the world today 😞. Quilting and crafting, I think, helps us bring beauty and joy through the pain.

Good to see you back 👍 Thank goodness you are both feeling better 🎉🎉 I LOVE chequerboard quilts and yours looks great 🥰 Have you seen how Jenny Doan creates on point quilts from rectangular quilts? It’s worth watching 👍 She creates a rectangle then cuts it twice diagonally and sews the pieces back together 🤩 Take great care of each other 👏👏🇬🇧
