How to convert your Epson 7710 to a SUBLIMATION printer!!

In this video I will tell you how to convert your epson printer to a sublimation printer. I've already converted mines before this video but it was time for me to add more ink so both processes are almost the same.
When you first get your printer just follow the steps that came with the printer. Then print a page to make sure printer is working properly for warranty purposes. Then take the epson ink out and add the sublimation ink. I will show you how in this video.
You will need
Epson 7710 printer (I purchased mines from Office Depot )
Sublimation Ink starter kit.( I purchased mines from inkxpro.com)
A-Sub paper (Amazon)
Heat Press (Heatpressnation.com
Heat transfer tape (amazon)
Butcher paper (I purchased mines from Sams whole store)

Yes you can, though it's alot of hustle to clean the ink tank if you are on a ciss system to get rid of all sublimation ink. If using the cartridges then it's easy coz you just have to replace with the ones you want to use. After which, you will have to perform head cleaning till the regular ink begins to print when you perform nozzle check. I did it on my epson l382. I was using sublimation ink on it for mug printing, but had to revert to regular dye inks when demand for the mugs went down.

Yes. The main difference is the 7720 has double trays instead of one. It uses the same cartridge as the 7710 too.

I think it spilled because you were leaning the cartridge in the direction that you were putting the ink in. You should keep it on a flat surface and fill slowly to avoid spills.

Hi... Thanks for all your videos I located a Epson WF-4830 this evening for 199.00 And you know I made them give me a coupon. But I’m uncertain and I have not opened it because when I search I don’t see a 4830 being converted any place. I did see a couple people saying any Epson printer can be converted is this true? It prints 8.5x14, it has 2 paper drawers but I need to know if I order that ink run the regular ink to make certain it prints then add sublimation ink will this work? I know it’s asking a lot and my feelings won’t be hurt if I have the wrong machine...I have my receipt and I’m the take back queen when somethings wrong. Please help?

@@lijanitalentedprodukshns2883 you can look for chipless solutions. It helped me in conveting my 7710 into chipless. Not all ciss systems work with it but once converted to chipless it will work and the ink levels will always show full.

Yes it will. They are similar, difference being the paper trays. But i would advise you to get a ciss system and then get the pinter chipless. (Though it voids warranty) i have the wf7710 which was using cartridges and they are expensive, and the printer requires you to replace them after a given number of prints even though you can hear some ink in there. Ciss is the best, and will save you the time to refill, no syringes, no spills, no low ink level warnings.

There is a lot of wastage here. Only extract the ink directly from the bottle then insert into the cartridge. You run the risk of contamination when pouring into another container which might block up the heads. Not to mention making a mess. A mess means waste.

Jamie Turner I use the epson wf7710. You will need the printer, heat resistant tape, sublimation paper, heat press. I would also recommend a heat resistant glove and Teflon mats. You’re looking at around $500 depending on the heat press and printer you buy.
