I wish the writers would have given a little more closure to Prue's death, at least in the season 3 finale. Like in season 1 when Andy died and he sees Prue and tells her that it's his time. Maybe they could've had a scene with Prue telling the sisters something like that. Cause her death was so weird like it just happened and nobody was even sure that she died. Then all of a sudden season 4 starts and she's gone. It needed more closure

That was phenomenal and very powerful acting by Holly Marie Combs! The anger, screaming, banging on Prue's chamber door, begging Prue to come back. Very heart breaking and really gets to you. Seems incredibly real. I wouldn't be surprised if her emotions were real and if Rose's tears were real and if Brian was struggling to hold it together.

It's crazy but after almost 20 years I still miss Prue. I'm so frustrated we never got to see her evolve, see her full power, see her have a family etc The character deserved much better. I know Shannen didn't want to appear in the show anymore but at least they could have mentionned her in the last episode, not even Piper did. After season 5 it's like she never existed after everything she had done for her family. It was all about Phoebe's finding love, Piper getting Leo back... Not to mention the annoying Billie and Christie... 😒 Even though I still enjoyed the show and really liked Paige, the true spirit of Charmed died the day they killed Prue. I would have loved to see her kick Billie's ass and meet Chris. I'm still mad after 20 years 😂

She's also mentioned by name in 11 episodes after Season 5 (13 if you count writing on a gravestone)*, and mentioned otherwise and/or alluded to in a number of others. You would expect the true spirit of your family dynamic to die (and have to be reborn as something diminished) if there have always been three of you and one of you dies young. This is such an educational scene. It helps remind us that sometimes the person the griever is most mad at is the person who died. It feels like they abandoned and left them. And sometimes, they can't confront that feeling itself. They can't admit that they're angry at the person who died until they are forced to face the truth.

There was an episode, a couple of episodes after Prue died where phoebe was in Prue's room crying her eyes out. Plus, Alyssa Milano and Shannon Doherty (The actors that play Prue and Phoebe) Didn't like each other so I guess its hard crying for someone you dislike.

I have to admit that this is such a moving emotional scene now I'll admit and I've seen this I don't know how many times but each time I've seen this I still get a little emotional over it such powerful acting it's a shame that she left the show the way she did Shannen Doherty put such an imprint in the show it's a shame. But the other actress who played the middle daughter she must have been tight with Shannen Doherty because there were several episodes where she would bring up the death of her sister. That wasn't Piper, if you think of it. That was actually Holly channeling her emotion and dealing with Shannen being fired because of fucking Brad and Alyssa, the two assholes. Shannen and Aaron fought for Holly to land that role of Piper because the WB network didn't believe in her... Charmed was their gift to her, and here is her best friend leaving. I think Rose understood that Holly had a close bond with Shannen and she genuinely felt emotional and awkward in the situation, and like an outsider. I think she used the drama that was happening on set to get the performances on the screen. Rose is a real professional and it shows here---, one wonders if she was cast as Phoebe in 1998 instead of Alyssa, things could have been so much better. You could tell though that it was never the same between Holly and Alyssa, and sometimes she preferred being around Rose more in the later episodes.
