To be honest, Charminar express maintained by SCR is spotlessly clean. However, Chennai express which leaves before Charminar is maintained by SR and it is the dirtiest. We only prefer that train if we have to catch Guruvayur or any early morning trains as that train takes the shortest route and reaches Chennai mostly by 5:30 am, usually before time. That train has rake sharing with Yercaud express and old rakes and dirty. Kacheguda to Chengalpattu express is clean too as well

This train ticket rate is always slightly costlier than Hyderabad express. Since Hyderabad express runs via Nadigudi-Guntur-Bithragunta line while this charminar express runs via Kazipet-Warangal-Vijayawada. Since this charminar runs up to central ticket rate slightly differs while comparing to Hyderabad express. After extended to tambaram this cost slightly increases

Naveen bro, this was my regular train 10 years back when I was working in Hyderabad. Friday afternoon oru 4pm Ameerpet office la irundu kelambuven , take a bus to secuderabad station. Ange oru tea at 5pm and karachi biscuit - bai kadai peru marandirchi. Then at around 5.30 pm ,platform 1 canteen la oru chicken fried rice and lays chips takeaway - that time some tamilians were working there, so avanga koods konjam arattai .. correcta 6.10ku train varum from Hyderabad junction and 6.20 ku kelambum. eppovume Side Upper dan book panradu for compleye freedom. Mobile la game aadikite varuven ille fiancee oda chat pannuven, at around 7.30pm Nalagonda st cross panna udane, oru tomota soup saapuduven, around 8pm warangal, kazipet stations ellam varum, appo parcel dinner saapudradu, then before bedtime somewhere near khammam la oru paal and off to sleep. kaalaila oru 7 ku TN enter aagum, brush pannitu readyaa irupen, around 8 am Central vandurum. ange saravana bhavan la oru filter coffee adichitu, park station poi, local pudipen to numgambakkam, maraka mudiyadu 😀

The distance is almost 790 kms. With the revised timings, reaching Chennai at 7am this is the best train to travel. Lots of 3 AC compartments are there it is a better option to travel compared to bus. With LHB coaches, the journey is comfortable as well.

6:42 that broad berth used to be avbl in some of the coaches of AC 3 tier too only in icf rakes,have went in that 2 to 3 times. But in LHB rake its found only in AC 2 tier but not in 3 tier😏😏

Last week I travelled on Friday in this train to Hyderabad and returned back immediately on Saturday by Charminar Express. I felt a lot of Jerk while going from Tambaram to Hyderabad, which killed my sleep totally. There was a heavy Jerk felt. Not sure if you too faced similar issue. In Both travel by Charminar Express, I felt this Jerk...This will not be there in normal ICF rake services...

It is Nampally Railway Station. I have been traveling between Chennai and Chennai since 2004. Except in Corona time, when only Special trains were being run, the train was running on time. Almost all the time (more than 50 times I travelled in Charminar Express) it was running late. Sometime, it reached the destination (both ends) even after three hours late. Secunderabad is the Headquarters of the South Central Railway. Biger and more important station than Hyderabad.

When introduced, this express was with SR, running as superfast with stops at Vijayawada, Kazipet and secunderabad..I traveled once with this limited stops.
