Greetings from Olathe! Mike, the colors you chose made my heart sing. When I was a child drawing houses with crayons, that green and yellow/gold combination was what I always colored my houses! I love the birdhouses. We did a grid behind our barn and hung birdhouses all over that grid. Some may be too close to others since birds are territorial, but swallows and bluebirds (even finches) love them and it seems ok. Keep doing what you are doing. We love it!

Love all your work. I was still hoping for a true burnt orange for the walls, because it would have absolutely highlighted the blue spruce and made it pop even more as its complimentary color. Love the brown stain for trim. Color is so personal, but love that you love it and enjoy your passion and am living vicariously through your creative process.

It looks fabulous!! I'm with your wife about the green. It looks nice, but perhaps something that works more with the spruce would be terrific. Love the idea of the purple window box which would be another case for a color coordinated with the spruce. Perhaps repeating the rich blue on the building to the left of the chicken coop or the blue-gray color of the bird feeder across from it. Looking forward to seeing it all amongst the summer colors of the garden. I watched your interesting video of the bird houses. Surprised there weren't more views.

Adorable! What do you think about toning down the green with an antique glaze? You would still get that green color but it would look aged to blend in with your wood stain & the surrounding bark. Keep up the fun. We love what you do!!!!!!

Im going to add my 2cents worth.....with ìnflation, it will be in the minus. I would have painted those colors the other way around. House green, highlight yellow. I love yellow, i think a yellow door would be awesome 😊

Sorry, but the yellow is a poor choice and the shed sticks out like a sore thumb. A more subdued color would be better. I know I am in the minority because many others like it.

I love the feedback. It’s okay that it doesn’t work for you and others. Like I spoke about in the video, there is so much that is going to be done over the next few months to calm down the overall punch of color and blend the view of this project overall. Come spring, a vine or climbing roses will be added, as well, the surround trees and foliage will add to the charm. Hardscape is hard to mask during winter. Like all projects, this is just the beginning of the vision. Thank you for watching.
