White Rock British Columbia is a charming waterfront, seaside resort town located less than an hour drive south from downtown Vancouver and close to the Peace Arch border crossing to the United States. In today's vlog we'll show you how to explore White Rock BC by strolling the White Rock Beach Promenade and walking on Canada's Longest Pier!
The south most town of British Columbia, White Rock is named after a 486-ton granite boulder; this rock was so white and big that they used it as a navigational aid by the sailors back in the old days. It is amazing that until now they maintained it white through monthly applications of white paint by the city parks department. Today, it almost serves as an art piece in the middle of the white rock beach front that makes this waterfront town even more charming.
Discover White Rock BC's seaside cuisine by having lunch at Moby Dick Restaurant. This British Columbia restaurant is most famous for their extra serving of fish and chips. Lived there three and a half years, never want to go back, you guys visited in the winter during covid, boy White Rock in winter was already as dead as a door-nail, that's a double whammy, did you find out if the crabs are still fished out and the starfish still killed off and is city council still gearing everything only for the rich?!
