Haven't watched till the end, but the primary guest strikes me as being extremely difficult to her husband and or children. And always wants to be in control. Entitled, and ignorant Just by the FACES she's making I can't even 😩😩😩 . She's one of those people who would fly to Italy and ask for a Alfredo pasta

That charter guest Lauran was an absolute MOLE! Rude, disrespectful, entitled and ungrateful. The very definition of a "Karen". Jess was clearly under a lot of pressure and then having to deal with burning her hand as well. Take what you're given or starve seriously!

I Personally Do Not think any job or passion or hobby could be done under severe criticism and judgement.. you could tell yourself not to care when people show you judgement or expect anything you make or do or say to be disgusting , you could think or say to yourself that as long as you believe in yourself you can enjoy and do what you love , but if you encounter a very critical environment to serve or to show your talent to , you will feel pressured and you will feel their energy as if it was actually true , like when people are criticizing the chief's food or being disrespectful to her effort , she felt the energy while cooking and got nervous or stressed and burned herself even though she have not seen them or talked to them yet .. respect is always should be the main thing people give to each other.

I don't get why breakfast is so fraught on so many charters. Every time it's like the chefs forget breakfast exists?
@vc6478
@vc6478 Жыл бұрын
I agree, because this is a yacht with supposed 5 star service. I can tell you in general breakfast is the most hated meal to prepare for chefs. Lots of subs, notes, changes… etc. People are the most picky about their eggs. The variety of things people can ask for is large. As well, while doing this they are prepping for lunch and dinner already. Not an excuse considering how much money is being spent, but these are just the general reasons why it is hated. If everyone ordered the same thing or similar stuff that could be made together it wouldn’t be so bad. Usually the chef would have a special/set menu that they try to have the front of house to push so it makes life easier in the kitchen. I would plead for my front of house never to ask first what they want for breakfast, tell them the special/set menu, if they aren’t interested then they can ask. Specials and set menus are not more simple or less worth it, it is just they have been planned for and are at this specific time/service the easiest to execute.

I’ve had something similar happen to me when I went to was a pan in the sink wrapped my hand round the handle and got a bad burn I didn’t realise it had been in the oven the chef was so apologetic about it. She normally worked on her own so had forgotten to tell me. In a kitchen if you’re carrying a hot pan or tray you would normally shout hot pan or hot tray as you walk near people.

those eggs looked great. some guests think their subjective taste is the standard. well, it isnt. at the same time dealing with americans taking an order isn t some simple things. one always needs to ask for more specific preferences. i run gastronomy in europe and asking guests for more information to make them satisfied with the product is a given. it makes things easier and is a bit of extra conversation that makes customers feel listened to which is appreciated. and americans although very particular know to appreciate that by tipping whereas English and French will rarely tip even if they were superhappy.

@@JolieJames grits are made from a specific type of cornmeal, going off of how the guests are acting heaven forbide you try to pass off normal cornmeal as grits, they would bite everyone’s heads off. Jess is so cranky and moody and rude to most of her co-workers. I can't even imagine her being hired for Season 2. I would not even call her cooking terrific. It's okay, nothing out there, nothing creative, it's just moderate. The Best Chef I have seen that is very Innovative is Rachel Hargrove from Below Deck. After her meltdown, she apologized and changed her way. Jesse could apologize then she justs goes back to being Debbie Downer. When even explaining her plate to the guest, there's no excitement or passion. Get her off the show and don't bring her back.

She took a pan out of the oven, forgot it had been in the oven and grabbed the handle with her hand. It happens all the time, especially when stressed or in a rush, but yeah easily burns the majority of the front of your hand. Not much you can do after that, hurts like hell, but there’s no remedy, just need to get on with it.

I don't mean this to sound bougie but something about this video screams budget value holiday. It's not the kind of service you'd expect from chartering a whole yacht but then again I might have seen too much online about how the super wealthy live and i'm comparing it to how people who are financially comfortable or just about rich live I noticed it's a completely different life. Tbh this is like the motel version of the industry.
