Honestly as a chef sometimes you just instinctively do it only to realise at the last second that you made the wrong decision. When your in college training they say never catch a falling knife and I’ll admit I’ve tried without thinking before and caught 2 knifes to which I have multiple scares on my hand when I accidentally knocked off but sometimes the brain goes into survival mode and you don’t get any choice in what the brain does I have quick reaction times so luckily I’m never hurt badly.

Any Good Chef knows never put Water on Burning Oil, Cover it with a DAMP CLOTH… I would have SACKED HIM IMMEDIATELY NO WAY HAVE THEY PASSED A KITCHEN SAFTY COURSE……

As a chef you turn the heat off and cover the pan with a lid you don’t ever lift it across the kitchen and pour water on it especially if it contains oil

I once while working in a pub had finished work and walked out to vape with a few of my colleagues and all of a sudden the fire alarm starts beeping so we all went in ready to help evacuate people but it turns out as I breathed out the vape smoke as the door closed some got in and set it off lol 😂

How did it take that long to remove the pan from the heat 6:20. Even a toddler knows a pan with oil in that’s smoking should be removed or the heat turned off.
