she is using metal tuners and still maintaining wodden pegs to retain the antique beauty... the veena sounds devine in her playing... such a lovely rendition in this raga... in my fav darling charukesi... her playing melts the heart and makes us feel compassion ... From where have this ensemble descended? From the heavens? From Brahmalok, from Kailash? The Morsing/Tabla combination is deadly. This kind of competence in Morsing I am hearing for the first time in my life! Astounding. I am not taking Veena into account [because Dr JK is matchless, she is brilliant, her rendition is divine.] But of the remaining three -- Morsing, Mridangam and Tabla -- Morsing beats them hands down! Especially when Mridangam and Violin are outstanding themselves, yet for Morsing to be graded at the top, just imagine how much of energy the gentleman must have expended in mastering such a difficult instrument! One mistake, and your tongue could be cut! Terrific. Thank you "Strings attached".
