damn nice...I want to get either the so-cal or the san dimas (lefty) which is more suited.. music interests are iron maiden, rainbow, dio etc.
@CWN65053 жыл бұрын
Honestly I own two So-Cals and they are great Iron Maiden! 🤘 It just depends on what pickup you like best, I know the San Dimas come with Seymour Duncan JB and a 59 Jazz and the So Cals are fully loaded with Duncan Distortions pickups.

I mentioned you to Steve of Steve Guitar youtube channel. He does a shoutout on Saturdays. He will hopefully recommend your channel. He was very impressed with what he saw of your channel. He is just growing subs. I think he went over 300 today. BUT like you he should have a ton.

Having a hard time choosing between this and the DK24 model you have. Do you have one you prefer more?
@ClintCurtis6 ай бұрын
Hard to say! Both are so good, you can't go wrong. 22 fret vs 24, the DK is a lot lighter weight...the So Cal sounds a little chunkier, DK has more mid and high end.

i actually have my eyes on this ! the only thing that can make it better is the neck joint. i would like it a little more ergonomic, not just standard bolt-on. perhaps schechter - kind bolt-on at least.

Yngwie doesn't need a shredder's heel. I'd rather have that plate than an asymmetric neck heel that I only notice when I'm reviewing it on KZbin.

Except that one has a cheaper floyd and pickups. I would like it if Jackson made a few more script logo super strats in the Charvel price range. Once you upgrade parts on the Smith guitar it's like 1200

I would love to own one of these myself..I just cannot get past the volume pot/knob location..Much like a Strat, it is all in my way. If they made them located about 1 or probably 1.5 inches back towards the rear of the guitar or something, I would have 2 or 3 of these guitars.
@lemac32004 жыл бұрын
@@stricknine8623 I have the same issue with the volume knob of the usual strats. The v-knob on the charvels is already out of the way. Not too close so you'd accdentially hit it, but close enough to grab it for swellings 'n stuff.
@stricknine86234 жыл бұрын
@@lemac3200 I have owned Jacksons and Charvels and I have played one of these specific guitars. I was speaking from my own experience,...I wasn't guessing about the volume pot location.
@stricknine86234 жыл бұрын
@@lemac3200 Granted,..The Charvels are not as bad in this regard as a Fender Strat but as I pointed out, the Volume knob/pot location is in my way on these things. Otherwise I would own 2 or 3. I started out 36 years ago playing Charvels and the Texas made Jacksons by Grover. As soon as I tried a Les Paul, I liked it and went out and purchased a Tobacco Burst Les Paul Standard that I fell in love with...Soon,,..it was all I played along with a second Les Paul I purchased 7 months after the first one. As I began reaching for the Charvel or Jackson, I found that the volume knob was now hindering and harassing me...It was apparent that my playing style with my picking hand had changed/evolved from the way it was earlier in my playing. I had to sell my 2 Charvels and Jackson because I didn't like them anymore...They were fantastic guitars though.
