So true. You don't have to be a Spurs fan and grow up in North London to love these guys. Although it helps. 😂🤣

@@markwestwood9730 I'm from the claret and blue side of London and first saw them at the Bridge House in Canning Town around the time Gertcha was in the charts. You couldn't move the place was heaving. Such a great night and the last time was at the Watford Coliseum around five years ago. Such sweet memories of the real dynamic duo.
@markwestwood97303 жыл бұрын
@@fus149hammer5 The first time I knew about them was when Rabbit came out in the charts then they did that fantastic song 'Ossie's Dream' for our 81 Cup Final. I was only 6 years old but my Dad used to harp on about Chas growing up just around the corner from him and going to the same school. I'd love to have seen them live because they were fantastic musicians and so underrated. God bless Chas, oh and congratulations for finishing where you will this season. It's been a great year for you.

RIP Chas Hodges. Songs have been such a huge part of my life. This version is amazing. I love it. I'm sitting here remembering dancing around my front room as a kid with my my Mum and Dad in the early 80s in Enfield to their albums to now passing their songs down to my children. Thanks for those really happy memories Chas. A legend. A lovely man. Rip

I did the very same thing with my mum. She always played Chas and Dave if she'd had a few and always got us up for "boogie" as she said. After losing my mum I always found myself listening to these records knowing the memories would flood back to safer more innocent time. RIP big man.

I love this song. I tell the missus it's the blokes version of I Will Survive but without the cheesy disco beat. To most uneducated people Chas and Dave are just a bit of a joke "cockney gor blimey" knees up party duo but to those in the know they are highly respected musicians with a huge catalogue of brilliant songs behind them. The party atmosphere is stilled now, the piano is locked away and one of our greatest ever singer songwriters has been taken from us. We're going to miss you Chas, you are a legend to those who love real music.
