I started to buy GBA SP consoles to collect and mod a few months ago, and a beat-up version is roughly around 60 to 70 dollars. It night be even more of the model is a AGS-101. The thing is that the GBA SP console have been extremely popular in the past 2 years due to reshells and mods. With that being said, the condition of the exterior does not really matter because ppl will just replace the screen - if it is an AGS-001 - with an IPS or ITA screen and replace the shell. When I mod my SP years ago, it was in ahot condition, and it was around 30. Now, something like that is doubled because retro gaming became a hot commodity during the pandemic. 5 dollars for a SP is like fucking the seller raw in the ass without lube.

It seems like he is chasing after the right mark to scam so he can get the right price. Negotiating a good deal is one thing, but there can't be a good deal unless both parties are aware of the market value that an item is going for and they agree on a price that benefits both of them in relation to that value. Taking advantage of people who have no idea what prices certain games go for on the second-hand market, even if they are happy with the money they got from the exchange, is not a good deal. Ignorance is bliss, and people who aren't aware that they got screwed lack the information as to why they shouldn't be happy about a transaction where they accepted a really low-ball offer. So when he says "they seemed happy" as if it is evidence that what he is doing is ethical, it is really misleading.

You're correct. It's easy to be happy selling something when you think it's junk. There's a moral obligation as a human being to treat people with respect and even if he would have paid $10 or $20 more I would have felt better about the situation. But being deceitful and lying just so you can maximize your own profit is disrespectful and scummy. And to film it for the general public to witness is insane to me. He's so far off from reality to think that he's doing a good thing by teaching others to be this way.

I think he toned it down a little bit and gives sorta better deals when buying video games off certain types of people like old people and kids. I seen a recent video were he gave $60 to help some kid and said 0 profit will be made that he just bought some games to help the kid out and no profit on this deal will be going to the Pokémon bank after this deal. I admit this video look disgusting though. I admit I buy fromWhatnot and go on there occasionally. I was addicted to it at first until I had a glitch bid of over $4,800 for a few cards worth $25 dollars. I was glad the seller accepted my cancellation of the item. I tried to buy a game at a pawnshop for 5 bucks last week. Manager stood firm at 10 though. I feel bad about this but like a reseller I pulled out my phone and found the game cheaper. You just have to know how to talk to people at pawn shops. I get deals there all the time. If you show them a game is cheaper elsewhere, and are nice about it, they'll usually work with you. Now if it's a current gen game, 10$ is usually a good price. Just have to work on your negotiation skills and build rapport with the people working there. Do it all the time. Nothing wrong with haggling at a pawn shop

Not ALL Resellers are Bad. There are some who DONT do what this Scumbag did in the Video. Some actually give a good percentage of what an item is actually worth.

Nothing wrong with buying low to sell high. At most garage sales, people are looking to get rid of their old junk. Most who are running garage sales truly don't give a shit how much they get in exchange for their items. The space is more valuable to them. One man's trash is another man's treasure. I don't blame Chase for trying to get the best pricing they can for the items they want. That's how markets work. People scrounge for the best deals they can get whether you are a buyer or seller. Haggling is part of the game, and they can always say no. I get people haggling me all the time. If it was a forced exchange then yeah, I would agree with you, but she honestly doesn't care enough to know what she's selling. To put into perspective, it takes money to drive out there, it takes money to invest, it takes money to clean, resurface, and test, it takes money to store, and then there's the hidden costs and risks of selling online to begin with. And there's no garentee that it's good inventory (ie that it'll actually work) or that it will sell. And this is all in exchange for time that could be spent in less risky propositions or investments.

He shouldn't have taken advantage of that vulnerable woman, it's wrong, he knew EXACTLY what those games go for. Sure, there is nothing wrong with wanting to make a profit and buy low and sell high, but you shouldn't financially rape people like Chase did to that little girl and her grandma! I'm not upset that he is making money off them I'm just upset that he knowingly took advantage of them, especially the little girl who we shouldn't expect to know the prices of those games!

@@LeadMe2TheBliss and then his online buyer is going to want a deal, and his employees are going to want their pay, and selling platforms and advertisement platforms want their 15-25% share, and then there's the costs of refurbishment and testing, gas money of driving out there, shipping costs and risks of bad buyers (ie theft), and time and opportunity costs, and that's even if he makes a sale and only if the market he is expecting remains stable enough to obtain the profit that he calculated when he first bought the item, cause thats not a garuntee either..... It's a BUSINESS for him. It's not that he is deceptive in his practices. If he wants a business to succeed, HE HAS to make margins. It's on the seller 100% to know the value of what they are selling. If they don't care about the value as much, that is also on them. The little girl couldn't care less about the money, she was having a blast with her family selling stuff and meeting new people. The grandma wanted the space back. It's a GARAGE SALE. What they consider junk that they would otherwise give to the garbage men or local thrift store. They werent emotionally or financially attached to any of the items there. Sometimes it isnt about the amount of money recieved for one of the parties. If they didn't want to sell it for a price he offered, they could just have easily said no thank you. They werent helpless and screaming for mercy.

Alright so here’s the deal. Id never make that low of an offer BUT I still don’t have a problem if people don’t care about something when people make low offers . However I can understand why you and others don’t like this. I believe us resellers would gain a lot more respect if made real offers
