This pedal is based on the Cooper FX Outward, which might be why you call it 'Outward.

How would this be any musical? CB has been coming up with a couple of $399 boxes that have no practical use in a musical context, like at all. Lossy, Generation Loss, and this one… what are they thinking over there? To NOT write a song around these sounds like ever?

I don't think their intent is to be "always on" or for you to write songs around them, but to be more of a way to add unique textures to your music. More of a producers tool imo

Use your imagination. I have 8 Chase Bliss pedals and have written songs or riffs with all of them. You have to mess with the pedals for more than 20 min .

ya know... i wonder who uses this stuff. Seems sick for smokin with the boys and getting weird but beyond that? Idk i don't get stuff like this

@@cscheid Its decent for drums or percussion with a quick staccato attack. the onward can fill in some of the space between notes with a random, sorta generative vibe. the onward gets way way way WAY too overwhelming at times and the only thing you seem to be able to do is totally kill it to get it back under control.

As an Ambient Musician, this is super attractive, but that in itself proves its fairly niche.
