It sounds like he's saying that they made changes based on the fact that if they couldn't win with Harvick, then they were doing it wrong. So they made a number of wholesale changes based on that honest self-assessment. Not an "ugly truth about Kevin Harvick," just and organizational culture change based on honest self-reflection.

I completely agree with you on making changes because they couldn’t win with Harvick’s talent. But the fact that he mentioned since he’s been there they’ve never worked together as a team and all worked individually is not a good thing. And he said Harvick and Almirola were never at the shop. I’d think that’s not good for chemistry. Maybe I’m crazy.

@@BeatingandBanging I put that on harvick. I don't think he ever gave his teammates any kind of respect.. In fact, based on some of his comments directed at Chase I'd say he still doesn't.

Sounds to me like the entire organization realized last year that if Kevin wasn't being successful, they needed to make some changes and find out how to make the teams successful. Not "ugly truth" about Harvick. It was a culture and organization thing. Glad they had their ah ha moment.

Sounds like it’s better now for the team to grow with all the drivers at the shop, discussing things, team meetings. Also sounds like Harvick and Almirola were not really involved with the “Team”. Shame that they did not bestow their wisdom for Chase and Ryan last year, and other drivers in the past couple of years.
