Good questions! I don't think there's really such a thing as too many as long as you are using credit cards the right way and not getting into debt with them. I'm not a big fan of store cards personally but if you shop somewhere a lot then sometimes it can make sense to get it

Love it! I can’t wait to get my own Chase Business Card eventually! Such good cards, and definitely something everyone can get, as we all have side hustles of some kid. I know Chase has a policy or some fine print saying that you shouldn’t be using this card for personal purchases. Do you worry about this or do you still make non-business purchases on it for the points?

Yeah they do say that its supposed to be for business purposes but they have no way of telling what is personal and what is business because you don't report anything to them. So my method is to use the business card for everything business and personal until I meet that minimum spend and then transition to using it mostly for business.

What about when it comes time for taxes? Speaking to an accountant, they say you’re not supposed to co-mingle a business credit card w/ business and personal purchases. The CPA says that’s a top reason for an audit.

Hey Daniel, not sure if you’ll see this since this is an older video but I am debating whether or not to get the chase ink cash for my next card. I currently have the chase freedom student, unlimited, sapphire preferred and the citi custom cash (4/24). I really wanna get the Amex gold soon, but to stay under 5/24 I was thinking it’d be a good idea to get a business card. In January 2023 I’ll be knocking one off of my 5/24 count, so that’s something to keep in mind too.

Hey Spencer, yeah if you can meet the $7,500 minimum spend then I think getting a Chase business card is a great way to maximize your 5/24 status since it won't count towards that! The ink cash is a great option and mainly worth it for the bonus

So they did a hard pull on my personal credit report for the ink cash when I applied, which is fine with me. But could be different for each person, especially if you already have an existing business relationship with Chase (which I did only - only had a personal relationship with them for credit cards).

I heard from other people that you kinda have to open a LLC and EIM to increase your chances of getting approved for this card. Also, once you do that will you get a form at the end of the year by the IRS to pay taxes?

Will all of your cards show up on your account since they are all in your name or does the biz card have a separate chase login?? Being able to combine my personal with biz would be my main goal

Awesome, thank you so much I'm glad to hear that you like the videos! Good question, so actually at first the personal credit cards and business credit cards from Chase show up in different accounts. But then all I had to do was call up Chase and they explained that this was common and they easily combined the personal and business cards into one account so I see all of them in one place now

For the 7500 you have to spend for the reward, is it only on purchases via in store/ online thats proccessed through a payment processor, or is it just only any spend like services etc? Like paying a debt or paying gov sales tax etc?

Its just any spending that you put on the credit card that will count towards the $7,500 minimum spend requirement. So you might be able to pay down debt or make tax payments with a credit card, but sometimes those types of things require a credit card processing fee of maybe 2-3%. Since you get the bonus at the end of the min spend, that fee can be worth it, but it's obviously an extra expense that will eat into the value that you get

The wife and I have a new hot tub coming in February, plus a little expense for upgrading our electric service from 100 to 200 that will cover up the whole expense. If I don’t get this card, I’m just going to get the Wells Fargo double cash one. Easy 200 bucks and 2% back on about 14k in expenses. So still a decent return. Unless you have a better suggestion?

No matter what, going with a high welcome bonus will get you the best return on spend so definitely a good idea to go for the ink preferred first. Other than that maybe check out getting the sapphire preferred if you don’t have that yet. But go to a chase branch because they are offering the 100k sign up bonus with the first year annual fee waived as well

I collect royalties on a yearly basis so technically I have a business so we’ll see if that counts. I did some research and it seems like it should.

Good question, I'm not sure what their stance is on that at the moment. I know that you can still get a business card as a sole prop but they have been more strict especially last year. But I applied with my LLC

I applied for a credit card and line of credit with a credit union in Pennsylvania. Prior to this, they require a Experian pull to become a member. They hard pulled me on 4/7/2022. I had to wait at least 2 weeks to become a member before applying for their credit products. They give you a 30 day window to apply. I applied and I was denied with a 781 Experian credit score. Factors: Length of time of accounts and revolving accounts have been established, DTI is too high, and too many inquiries last 12 months. My Experian inquiries prior to applying with this credit union was 1. My Transunion inquiries is 2. My Equifax inquiries is 1. Now with 2 Experian inquiries how long do I wait before applying for a business credit card with Chase and Amex?

Hey Daniel, the Ink Business Cash has a 90k sign up bonus now, and the Preferred has a 70k (in branch only) bonus right now. Would you complete the trifecta first (I have the Flex and Unlimited already), or go for the better bonus with the Ink?

Good question! No you have to be under 5/24 when applying to have a chance at being approved. But if approved, it won't add to your 5/24 status

I’m applying for Ink Unlimited for this reason. At this time there is also a 90k sub as well. Im currently at 4/24 CSP, CFF & AMZN. My starter card was Discover. So I’m starting my gardening phase now and Unlimited allows me to have a catch all card without using a 5/24 slot and thus to be able to continue applying for other chase biz cards like Ink Cash, IHG, WOH, SW, United

My main card expenses are gas and dining/food. CFF got an intro 5% CB for a year and 3% for dine/food. If I have CFF it'w kinda redundant with Ink Cash. I might go for Ink Preferred because tje cash value of SUB points 10,000 is as good as 10 to 11 annual fee, X3 points for first 150,000$ spent, 25% more travel redemption. Ink cash is a good no annual fee Ink but if you have the CFF or CFU or CSP, Ink Cash don't offer much value anymore.
