Chase - Student Short Film

They say you shouldn't judge a person by how they look on the outside. But what if that gut feeling helped save your life?
Final project for EMB 421: Advanced Narrative Production at Northern Kentucky University. Filmed on a Canon EOS 60D. A Glidecam XR2000 was used for handheld shots.

To all the comments saying they dont understand the end ; This is what i understood: someone had put a bomb on the girl witht the white shirt and when she would try to open her car it would explode... And the other girl chasing her looked like she wanted to do something to her or she was following her but she was actually trying to save her life! And she did... That's why the description says dont judge people by what they look like... ( Good job on the short! )

Just a review. I feel that there were too many walking shots. The cinamatography and editing was good, however. I don't feel that the ending was done well as i don't know what was happening and that there wasn't much of a chase. Why was she being targeted and who is she? There isn't any character development. I'm not being an asshole, this is my honest opinion.

I appreciate your opinion, however I must ask how many times you watched it and how much were you really paying attention? Admittedly there's not much to read into here (though it could almost function as a prequel to Rogue, my other short), and it's not made as well as it could be if I'd had more time for this project and planned better, but I think the premise is pretty simple. I used walking shots to build the tension and keep the movement going. It's a simple story that I don't think needs much onscreen character development--you can clearly see that some people are not who we initially expect them to be, and that's what I was going for with this piece.

This was very good but I don't understand the end… What was the thing she exploded and why? I understand that everyone expected her to be a bad person and she turned out to be nice, I think… but what was the physical plot?

The person being chased, Kelly, had an explosive device attached to her that would be detonated when she unlocked her car, so the chaser had to get it away from her so she wouldn't die when she unlocked her car.

Kaylee Is A Muffin No. I'll explain: So when she bumped into that guy he attached some explosive thing that would have exploded her if she pressed the button to her car (from the sound). The woman that the man attached the explosive thing so she took it, threw it far away and pressed the car button, which made the explosive thing explode.
