I liked seeing the lead character be a strong educated woman facing problems many of us go through. Especially the balance of family and career. It was an intriguing point that the main weather point was tornadoes 🌪 popping up in an unusual place that being Seattle, Washington. I liked this movie.
I was caught in the vortex ! Really good movie ! Tyvm !

1:02:17 Why do teenagers never listen to their parents? In whatever situation you are in, you should prioritize the words of your parents because it is definitely in your best interest, this is one of the points of this movie, please pay attention. I am a father myself and I will do anything for my child even if it ends in my own harm

From someone like me who has never experienced a tornado except on television my question is why would you want to live in an area that has lots of tornadoes? Me I'm happy to live on Vancouver Island where the only bad weather is a lot of rain and snow with the odd earthquake and the last one that I felt was in 1964 lol

We like living dangerously! I live in Oklahoma. I imagine it has to do with trade offs, the fact that a good portion of the US gets tornados, and that we are just used to them. Plus, I personally like storms. Obviously, a tornado is a little much, but i hate just dreary rain. I also hate long stretches of no rain. Tornados, although destructive, are pretty hit or miss. My house and my rent house have both been standing since 1920. There are places that seem to act as a magnet like Moore and Stroud, Oklahoma, that I wouldn't move to though.

When your great grandma outruns you to the storm cellar and your aunt gets blown up to the top of a wooden telephone pole back in the sixtys, i kinda respect what monsters are capable of. It sounded like a train coming. We lived by the railroad tracks in Haskell, Texas. Back then, the only thing chasing a tornado was the screaming. Now what is behind the screaming is chasing them if you know what i mean. Times have changed. Better warning.

The most dramatic point in the film, whether her brother and Sean survived. Everyone yawned in wonder.. The director missed it completely

It was kind of stupid for the mother, daughter and her father to lay on open ground and the tornado is right over them. Instead of going in that big house to the basement area. They laid down in Open field. And it wasn't even a ditch. 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

A teacher from the Moore Oklahoma school, wiped out by a tornado, is being hailed as a lifesaving hero for throwing her body over kids and sheltering them from the deadly storm. Twisters leveled Plaza Towers Elementary School, where dozens of students had hunkered down in hopes of riding out the killer tornado. “A teacher took cover of us, Miss Crosswhite,” Damian said. “She was covering me and my friend Zachary. I told her we were fine because we were holding on to something, and then she went over to my friend Antonio and covered him, so she saved our lives.” Crosswhite said she kept telling kids that everything was going to be OK, as 200 m.p.h. winds crushed the Moore, Okla., campus.

If your child is like that daughter of the storm chaser woman, then don't bother to try to save her. It's just a waste of time and effort. That kid is worthless and not worth risking your life.

I survived a super cell in NW Louisiana last year. Sadly, my roommate did not. I lost power for 6 days. The cell was a ten mile wide tornado, most surreal weather event in my life (I'm 67). My roommate was driving home from work and had a tree (huge pine) crush his truck driving down the road.

Storm patterns over the long run have not increased in strength. Damage costs increase because of inflation and sprawling populations. Blaming global warming for storm damage costs is illogical. But hey, the channel is a science fiction one. The lead woman's crooked underbite is very distracting. She needs therapy! The bratty lines for the teenage girls are an insult to young women. All that aside, it's a bad and boring movie. I hit the skip forward key several hundred times.
