I don't know how KZbin recommended this to me, as I don't watch anything gaming-related, but I'm glad it did. Watching you shop for N64s took me back to when my parents gifted me the n64 at Christmas. Similar to your story, but my parents made it seem like I didn't receive a gift that year. Everyone opened presents and I was left there without a gift. My parents told me “we were saving your one and only for last” I remember tearing up as I opened it and caught a glimpse of the System on the box. Thank you

As a true 90's kid I can't tell you how much nostalgia this video was for me when i saw the N64 and Gameboy Color, hit me right in the feels and almost made me shed a tear remembering all of the great memories I had with my brother and friends. I can safely say, I lived in the best era to be a child and I didn't even know it at the time. Side note, I have no idea how Ocarina of time isn't on your top 10 my guy, my odd listing on my top10 would be jetforce gemini.

in the "feels" . thats what separates the 80's from the 90's we dont use the word "feels" like that. Nintendo 64 was after super nintendo and the original Nintendo which were better well when Nintendo was the top seller or top Dog then SEga Genesis came

When I was in primary school, my father bought me a Gameboy Pocket and a Famicom. To this day, I still remeber the smell of the video games section of the mall where we used to buy the game cartridges. I still remember the jittery feeling while I was looking at boxes upon boxes of games, imagining what they could possibly look like. It all feels so magical when you're a kid. I still play video games but it seems like the most of the magic is no longer there.

Rainy El Niño storm night. My parents say they need to go to target. We drive over, me in the back seat. Listening to Fleetwood Mac on the radio. We run out of the car into the rain, and slick parking lot. Parents take the shopping cart, and I run straight to the video game display and demo cases. I discover Mario 64… it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen or played. I’m 35 now and think about it all the time.

December 1996, I was 5 years old. My dad and uncle said they got us(My brother and I) something “nice”. I was not expecting anything big because we didn’t had a lot money back then. They show me the box N64 and Mario Kart, I couldn’t sleep that night. It was impossible for me to close my eyes other than blink from time to time. What a wonderful memory

Need to find a wife in the first place who doesn't want you to sell off your childhood, or anything you are into. They should support your hobby's and sentimental stuff even if they don't understand it. The issue i always have with conventions like this, is there's often a lot of people selling the same thing, assuming we're not talking about super rare stuff, so it feels like trying to find the best price/best deal is hard as by the time you've looked all around and figured out that "yep, that first guy had the best price" you go back to find he's already sold it. I guess it's a "me problem" but it just makes these sort of things difficult for me.

My first gaming device was the Atari ST520. I call it a device because not sure it can be called a console. However, my fondest memories and gaming joy was spent on Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. I came from a poor background, so having these consoles meant so much to me. My Super Nintendo bundle was the Super Mario World, and my second game was the European version of contra called Super Probotector. To me, it will never be contra.

Excellent choices here. Definitely would pop in Smash Bros for the nostalgia. Since we're talking N64 I think you are missing Zelda Ocarina of time and Perfect dark. I still own my copy of Pilot Wings 64 which was a launch title for the N64. Such a good game one of the best games on the system. Criminally overlooked.

I might go out and buy the sets that remind me of my dad. He really loved gaming with me. We were poor but he always found random game finds. I remember him and I playing and beating windwaker. Also following that story id get fed up of him hogging windwaker and I put a quarter in a electric socket and all of the lights and game data went out. HE WAS PISSED 😂 For all his faults he was a cool guy. I remember after a bad day of school he picked me up and surprised me with a used copy of kingdom hearts 2. At the time I never even played the games but he thought id like it. Now it's one of my favorite games ever. I'll never forget how that day made me feel. I miss him, alot. Ps. Idk why I decided to share this. The video just made me think of him.

I remember being a young kid and thinking about what I'd ask for if a genie granted me 3 wishes. I can't remember all the wishes, but I do remember that one of them would have been, when I turn on the water faucet at my home, instead of water, NES games would come pouring out. I've remembered that as a point illustrating that I have no idea what I really want and how, even if I could be granted my heart's desire, it probably wouldn't do much for my long-term happiness.. Seeing this, though, I guess I would be king of the nerds at these gaming conventions if I'd have gotten that wish.

Remember people, it’s resellers like this that hurt nintendos market so that’s why they don’t put any big Pokemon classics on the gba or re2 on the n64 package for the switch. And it hurts just gamers because Nintendo keeps good games at higher prices so these resellers don’t hurt the value by flipping them for any decent profit since they’re already 45-70. If they didn’t do this, the switch main titles would price drop quicker.

I just started playing that game on Switch Online and it is very fun! Good to know about Yoshi, I'll give him a try!

@@BrotherDave_CATRP 👍He doesn't hit it far but he hits it straight and that's the most important trait for accuracy. Another option is Maple. She hits it a little further, but you can win every tournament and beat Bowser with Yoshi. Maple unlocks at 50 birdie coins.

Man, stuff like this is why i hate living in the EU. These retro game conventions just doesn't excist, and if they do excist, they're where you can't comfortably travel to. Loved this video, so much nostalgia. Just had to subscribe.
