Actually, I would say Ignea is a close second. They are independent -- no label -- and they have done everything on their own. I am privileged in that the last concert I attended before quarantine was Unleash The Archers in a one-off show in my hometown of Fresno CA in the middle of their tour with Dragonforce and Visions Of Atlantis. I was unable to afford to travel to attend the main tourdates (which sucks cause I also really wanted to support Visions Of Atlantis), but thankfully they announced that date and I was able to swing it before I had to jet to work. It was my second time seeing them live (first time was with my friends' band Helion Prime and the amazing Striker when they played in Orangevale, CA in 2018) and both times they just killed it, they are just as great in the live setting as on the albums, so you're in for a treat when you finally see them yourself! Also, I look forward to when you can finally listen to the whole "Abyss" album, it is definitely one of my top albums of the year. I highly recommend listening to "The Wind That Shapes The Land" ASAP. lol. Great video as always, looking forward to future content. :)

Thank you for your and Tank's reaction videos about the Archers. You both, at least, are guilty, that I totally fall on love with there music and also in Brittany's voice. I am more an melodious Powermetal and Hardrock guy. That's the reason, why I am not the biggest fan of their early albums. But the more I listen to their music, my barricades about this bursting more and more. The both latest albums I love pretty hard... Is it possible, to marry an album? 🤔 In one of your reaction videos, you've said, Brittany is screaming all the Bad in this world away, and this is actually absolutely that, what their songs do to me. I am totally addicted to the Archers music and I am do appreciate, that you Chase and Tank helps me connecting to these unique musicians. Thank you, I'm blessed 🙏🏻 PS.: sorry for my bad English

When the first couple singles came out for this album, I wasn't sure about it. But then the full album came out and I had some downtime working on spreadsheets and figured I would give the full thing a run through. You can really tell which bands Chase has reacted to, by his playlists, that have really been great listens to him. Nightwish, UTA, and Band-Maid, who are all fantastic, have dominated in the amount of videos he's done for each of them. It's really all about those sweet transitions they all do. Lol. Now about the song, I love it. I mean, I love this whole album. It's a massive step up for them (not that Apex was nothing short of amazing), but this song in particular just hit me in an emotional way. The musicianship is killer, and Brittney's vocals just... man. SO GOOD. And I love that my favorite Canadian band listens to my favorite Canadian musician. When I listened to this one the first time it was the first track on the album that really grabbed me as something totally different for the band. I was also immediately happy because I love black metal and that wall of sound opening while obviously very influenced by Devin Townsend, also has a very Alcest/Deafheaven vibe (ie. post black metal). Super cool. I am 90% sure that the arpeggio's during that opening section are actually played on keyboard/synth as opposed to sweeps on guitar. Aside from listening to it in isolation and coming to that conclusion, when they did the live show, I didn't see any sweeping during that intro part. Its possible that its actually both (layered for effect) on the studio track. If Andy ever gets those tabs finished we will know for sure :)

Waow bro!!! Another interview with Brit?! That's incredible! Absolutetly loving the reaction and professional breakdown Chase! This album is just pure beauty, and though I've probably blasted the song 50 times since it came out, I too felt like a kid on christmas morning getting to watch this video premiere, and ESPECIALLY your reaction and convo with Brittney! Just awesome brother! Greetings from Sweden!
