Chase, you and I listen to music the same way (although you are much better at it than I am). All the nuances that a lot of people don't catch you do. In a song like this there is so much to take in it is so great that you help explain it and bring to the attention of the masses so those of us that really appreciate all of it can hear it and listen for it going forward. I in fact at times envy those that don't listen to things like I do because it can be distracting and there is a lot said about just sitting back and enjoying the song at "face value". I love this song and Daniel's vocals steal the show for me. That says something too because the band and the musicianship in this song is outstanding. I have gone back many times and watched this reaction over the past year or so and finally had to post something. Keep up the good work man!

5:59 , I agree, I think in the context of this song specifically, its really about having dreams but ending up in a never ending cycle trying to achieve them, maybe due to them being too big or some form or obstacle in your way. I think this is somewhat of a relatable theme to life and achieving goals in all of us. We have some kind of goal or dream in our mind, and we envision it there, and it's innocent. I think the main character is a representation of this idea. I could be looking way too deep into this, but I do understand this song is essentially about chasing a dream that you can't necessarily achieve, the main character being a representation of hope, aspiration, and the villain in the video being a representation of time mostly and possibly obstacles or doubts, as we all are essentially fighting time while alive on this planet. I think the purpose of this drift away in these portions is to have the climax of finding that inspiration or self worth or moment of beauty or even visualizing the dream constantly so much that you want it so bad to come to fruition, as the woman in the video being completely overwhelmed after putting her hand in the water, but at the cost of a portion of herself, but then to be plunged back into reality as the tone shifts back out of that climactic feeling.
