I remember when I first discovered Starset, when there were basically only Carnivore and My demons in their official channel I showed them to some friends telling them this band will become great in a few years... while I may not like all songs they did since then I still feel kind proud to hear my friends telling me I was right about this band speaking of Carnivore and My demons, I think would make for nice reactions for you, to see how they changed with the passing years
@janfertan54144 жыл бұрын
The next Starset reaction should be either "My Demons" or "Carnivore" from their first album Transmissions. Their sound made a great evolution over the past years, most noticeable in their implementation of electronics. The two tracks i mentioned above are the best representatives for their early sound and make for a great comparison to Ricochet (2nd album) and Manifest (3rd album)
@janfertan54144 жыл бұрын
Carnicore is actually the best choice since you can see them perfom in their selfmade spacesuits a few time. They use them in the second half of their demonstrations (concerts). What you can see in this video are their rebel outfits

I have been a Starset fan from before the first album came out. I found their first single on YT and it just clicked. Then I got lucky when In This Moment went touring in Europe and turned out that they had asked Starset to open for them. So then I saw them live just after the first album dropped. They are so epic live, it's such a great show (even when it was fairly early) and seriously I think I will always be a fan because of intricate their music is. Hey, awesome reaction! Wasn't expecting such a good breakdown of the Song! If you are a Fan of long epic outros then i would recommend the track "it has begun" or "antigravity"... Or almost any track from their Album "Transmissions" for that matter 😂. And if you want something heavier then i would recommend "into the unknown" or "frequency". And maybe even "bringing it down".
@SerpentCrowley114 жыл бұрын
The outfits fit the theme of the narrative that Dustin Bates (the singer) has written to go along with the albums. There's an entire sci-fi world built it including one novel so far, and it's super fun. The initial book is called 'Prox Transmissions', and the latest album (which includes Manifest) are like the sequel story. It adds a whole new level of fun/interaction/intrigue in their music videos and live performances. If you want another live, then definitely Trials! They've also recently released a reimagined Trials, which is very much so reimagined (vs an acoustic version) and is also delightfully epic. If you're looking for more studio songs, definitely Demons; that's a huge fan favourite and also great live (though there isn't a really good live video for it). One of my next personal favourite would have to be Bringing it Down 2.0 (which adds more layers to the original 'Bringing it Down'). But really, any song. Any song is great. Just go through their whole discography hahaha

That is a kabuki drop system, there will be some kind of magnetic attachment running the length of the stage connected to solenoids and with a button press they all release, there is then some poor roadie side of stage (me a number of times) Pulling frantically to get it off stage without snagging or tripping a artist. There is also a very cool effect using a lighter material or silk called a sniffer which pulls the curtain up into the air into a focused point like a veil in the wind, they are not as popular as it’s a expensive large bit of kit that’s up in the rigging and they quite often jam and at that point it’s there for the show or until someone (again usually me) has to go climbing to manually retrieve it or unblock it
