Remarkable add on, no conflicts, no problems, no issues. Everything works like a charm. Unlike Exdok all versions that are a sea of problems, moreover, the developer doesn't answer. You will spend a lifetime figuring out what went wrong.. Farewell Ezdok. Not a pleasure. You wasted my time in a way that I cannot even express. thank you Frogglesim, this helped me a lot.

Looking great and I've been excited about this since the reveal. Thanks for your first impressions! I've held off buying EZdok for years due to the price in relation to the lack of support / general complaints from the community. Finally, an alternative appears! I hope there's an option for the externals to be locked to the horizon (as FSX's own spot view is) instead of the aircraft waterline. With a tail-dragger it makes for some wonky views when on the ground :)

Brilliant froogle - been using alpha for a couple of days, a joy to use. Static will be great when you can save them, so easy to move around and set up the perfect view. Once TrackIR has been implemented it's game over for EZ.

So glad this is coming soon. EZDok is such a big part of my FSX experience. I could not fly without it. But it also is so buggy and tends to be the addon I need to always play with or re-install. Can't wait to upgrade.

Great impressions. I was also quite amazed by their reveal of this product. I've tried to get to use EZ Dock, but it never really went how I would have liked to, and the interface is quite outdated in comparison. So I'm still using the mouse and a key to switch between using the mouse for interacting, and using the mouse to change the view. Fortunately I've manageed doing it this way so far, and I've also finally got from my old 720p monitor to a brand new 4K one which gives so much more space for the views and make the displays crystal clear to read, with almost no need for anti aliasing :) I'm sure this product will be quite a "game changer" for me once it releases, and I'm really looking forward to it as well :)

Looking forward to this tool. EZDok was a ground breaking tool but the lack of improvement and continuous development eventually lead to the creation of a tool like Chaseplane.

Hi Froogle, Your enthusiasm says it all. Suggest Chaseplane markets it just as is on a download with updates as and when ready. It would be to their advantage as they would get up front revenue at the same time as collaring the market.

It would be God sent if Fly-inside combines with ChasePlane. I am using Oculus now but reaching out for buttons are driving me crazy. Only if fly-inside have static view just like EzDok or ChasePLane. That will be a joy for flying in VR.

High on my list to buy, the only question I have that I asked Keven was the incorporation of "recording". Without the ability to record it would make using ChasePlane VERY difficult during critical points of flight like landing and takeoff. FSRecorder is unfortunately not very P3D friendly and extremely buggy ... so ChasePlane without any ability to record (other than Instant Replay) isn't going to be a very useful product for those of us that like to do flight videos and/or training videos. I hoping Keven understands the 'urgency' in having ability to record in ChasePlane.

Will be this software able to do in game recording? Once I saw it in one of your video not sure if it was x-plane or some "arcade kind of simulator" where you just went to replay menu and replayed your flight. So are we going to get some recording like fsx recorder can or the replay like in the other sim/other games? fsx recorder is quite often "buggy" e.g. when you land with full flaps and end your replay at the gate with engines shut down your recording starts with engines off and flaps 0 and the game has to set it "back" to the replay configuartion not sure if you know what I mean :)

This looks interesting although I don't believe I heard you mention whether it's possible to associate internal and external views for example, with the hat switch of a flight yoke? This is how I currently change views with Ezdok. I'm not sure I'd like to be bringing up menus with the mouse during circuits and landings.

Hey Froogle, a question for you... Can you run a ChasePlane in a secondary/ child window? I have a DH-2 which doesn't want to show its GPS when I hit SHIFT-3, so I wanted to try and see if I can set up a child window with ChasePlane. Thanks!

I'll be buying it when it is released. Great new perspective on flight simulation. Froogle, I follow you, q8pilot, matt davies and a few others. Never, as far as I know, has anyone given an opinion on 21.9 monitors for flight simming and video production workflow. Please ask messr's asus and nvidia to send you samples you can use for a month. The challenge is sending them back after you've used them for your allotted time. So I would really love to hear your opinion on whether this format has a future in flight simming and your day to day experiences with this format viz video production. Jon

if you use ezdok I have ran into this problem Btw love your video off subject But If i swicth to the outside or aircraft view in ezdok Its Like im in the cockpit view But moved out of the cockpit so the flight controls and all of that a seeable and no landing gear but i can also just right click the screen and selcet Spot or locked Spot But if you know what i did wrong Please help

There are numerous reasons why people choose platforms other than X-Plane, including a preference for some aircraft just not done well on X-Plane. No need to jump on people's comments and try to put their choice down.

I only do PMDG, A2A,Flight sim lab. "Necessary For serious simmers" ??? well it's handy for making videos or setting up outside views, but using it in cockpit, IF you have TrackIR, is unrealistic & not at all necessary, the "pan" function is sufficient. You don't use or need ezydok in ex. DCS, so why is it "necessary" in FSX/P3D?

I disagree - I tend to use camera utilities AND Track IR at the same time. It's ridiculously handy to be able to focus in something for an extended length of time, like a CDU in a 737

R Invictus, when I'm driving a car for example, or sitting in front of a computer, I can freely move my head and eyes and in effect simulate the functionality of TrackIR. But also I subconsciously know where the speedometer is, or where the keyboard is, and can snap my view very quickly to the speedo or the keyboard with a quick movement. This simulates EzDok/Chaseplane/xcamera more than it simulates TrackIR. I hope that helped ;)

It's nice, but $39 nice... I don't think so. That's 3 times the price I paid for FSX:SE and nearly the cost a single beautiful A2A aircraft. Guess it's relevant if you see the value in it, I personally do not.
