Meepo NLS Pro was one of the best bang for the buck boards and I'm so grateful to have grabbed a used one for $300. I put over 1000km on it so far and we only have 4 months of ridable weather. Love meepo. Love e-longboards. Love Reeves (Micheal and Chase).

If I were to upgrade it would be for more speed, I regularly hit 25+ mph on the board NLS Pro and it just leaves me wanting more!
@Triflixfilms6 ай бұрын
I was also strongly anti helmet growing up. Now that I board 25+mph please for the love of God wear a helmet. If you choose not to wear pads you'll get up from a fall and wish you were. If you don't wear a helmet you might not get up at all.

No way is he going to wear a helmet, he would get helmet hair also no one would see his pretty hair and with such big wheels their is no way he will come off it can roll over anything 😂

Pretty sure those are double kingpin trucks, really good for carving but ankle shattering at high speeds due to death wobble.

As a new skater I'm absolutely loving the freedom of mountain boarding / skating with big wheels. These things are so fun.

Cool to see you dipping into the e skate world. There’s all kinds of boards out there but my favorite is my AT board for sure. A few friends of mine all got one during covid lockdown and it changed the way we get around town. It’s fun for sure.

I love street wheels on my boards so much but I can appreciate the off-road wheels. I just tolerate a little bit of a rougher ride on some surfaces for a buttery ride and carves on smooth roads. Please for the love your family, please wear a helmet and close-toed shoes

Glad you made it out okay, 30mph is a rough tumble even without a car involved.

100% faulty battery. Not really a freak thing either. I’m on my 4th battery. Pretty common for the voyager and hurricane.

*Great follow up* 👌🏽 ⚡️🤟🏽🤙🏽🤟🏽⚡️ I wish they made a version of this with the Hobbywing ESC as opposed to the Ling Yi ESC they used on this, Hobbywing make the smoothest control module. AT pulleys needs tighter belt tension than urethane, with urethane (smaller wheels) it's better to have slightly loose (less) tension. Usually don't need to re-tension regularly, maybe once if a belt / board is new, belt stretches a little when new. Double Kingpin (DKP) trucks are hella fun, twice the turn of Traditional (TKP) and about 1.5x the turn of Reverse Kingpin (RKP) trucks. RKP are the most stable for very high speeds, DKP the most fun and great for carvin. I have the Meepo Flow, love it!

I highly recommend the Riptide bushings definitely a game changer! I’ve had my hurricane for 2 years and just upgraded to Riptides hurricane bushing kit. Better ride quality and range!

Can I ask which exact Riptide bushings did you get? I am seeing different sizes. I just got a hurricane and am looking to swap the bushings out.

The battery thing is common. Pull it apart and you will find loose battery welds.

I used to ride my board without a helmet or wrist guards. I rode at ~24mph for 10 miles a day almost every day for a year. Then one day (on my birthday) I fell going only like... 7 mph. I broke my hand in two places. THANKFULLY I happened to be wearing a helmet that day because I definitely would have whacked my head on the pavement. edit: I just watched more of the video! You're going 30 mph! That's terrifying without a helmet omg!

The battery being a dud is a total F. You pay all that money then have to go through through that stress and unknowing, it's not acceptable

If you don't like maintenance you really want hub motors but you loose the large wheels.
@zealdrive6 ай бұрын
Not sure on this one. The sleeves you need for hubs wear out so much faster than regular longboard wheels. Maintenance on belt-drives is just replacing a $3 dollar belt every once in a while vs having to replace an entire wheel. I've never had to even tension my belts. I've put 2k+ miles on my Exway Flex and 1k+ on my Meepo Voyager. Only belt replacements on both.
@Triflixfilms6 ай бұрын
@@zealdrive Only 1k on my NLS Pro and never performed any maintenance whatsoever. But I am considering changing out the hub sleeves this year since they are about 5 years old.
