I’ve been watching forever. I was at the store and saw some gorgeous habaneros. I thought what the hell. I ate one and thought I was going to freaking die. Even more respect for what you do now!

Right? I’ve had two levels of respect while watching Johnny: 1st level is a respect as an observer 2nd is when you try to eat one. That’s when the awe factor goes through the roof 😊❤

It takes time. Up until a few years ago, the hottest peppers I would eat were habaneros and red savina habaneros. Then I gradually moved up to hotter pods. The hottest I’ve had to date are bhut jolokia (ghost pepper), moruga scorpion and I finally had reapers. I’m slowly getting there. It takes time to build tolerance to capsaicin. You’ll get there, don’t give up. But take your time.

@@chris_carothers As an ex heroin addict (20 years clean) I started on moruga scorpion... it was ok. Tried reapers straight after. I like the high they give... it's not hard if your brain receptors are attuned to it and chase the high.

Johnny!!! I did it!!! I finally ate a portion of a reaper!! Until now scorpion was the hottest pod i attempted. I carved a decent slice off a fresh ripe reaper my buddy grew.. amazing. Punishing. Citrus explosion. Hot as the sun.. cheers family!!!

Sure. And you don't need to eat the whole thing. Just a slice of one. Start small, and don't hurt yourself. It jsut takes time.

I think Ed C. is afraid of you eating a pepper x as you will tell the truth about it. I still believe the Riper is the Primo just renamed. The warthog can't hardly wait to try it. I make jerky with my super hots.

Ed isn't scared of me. I'm confident he is aware of my reach, and the respect the chili community has for me. There are no videos of any respected chili head eating that pepper. Imagine had he sent me one, and it destroyed me. How differently that pepper would be viewed. He told me several times in person, that I would review it. Of course, he also told the chili community they'd be growing it too. He has a credibility problem, yet doesn't seem to care about it.

@@witness4witnessesdepends on the pepper really. peppers heat can vary. i've had habaneros that were mild and jalapeños that seemed way above their pay grade. i've tried the tube of terror peanuts and quite a few superhots. so, in my limited experience two peanuts do compare, but on the milder side of super hot peppers. if you want to try a super hot, just take it easy and try little bites at a time. you don't have to pop the whole pepper(at first 😜) enjoy the journey!

Jacob deathridges Starscream pheno does t even look stable first of all but it looks like a different pheno than I’ve seen before usually it’s yellowish orange not peach with a purple tint
