I think that keeping the current design has a big advantage for bracelets, just like iPhone cases that have to be repurchased after each new model, watch bracelets can be kept to make a real collection and have bracelets a little more expensive because they are more worked than iPhone cases. I don't know if these bracelets will go with any other design because of their size and rounded delivery mechanism.

After having my Apple Watch SE since late 2021, last week I finally made the decision to upgrade to an Apple Watch 9 SiP with cellular capabilities. I’m not disappointed at all. In fact I’m glad I made the jump in upgrade simply because when I heard that when Watch OS11 is released that it would not be supported on it, I thought I’d get the AW9 because I saw great reviews about it and it has an always on display whereas the SE does not.

Thanks for the video. Nicely summarized. I should have watched this video before updating it to preview build for the double tap. I wanted it for the workouts to seamlessly pause when required. But it does not do anything. Hopefully they will add that feature too. Else its pretty useless for me.

double tap is on the watch and has nothing to do with your phone. So it will work with any phone.

Just got my red series 9 and upgraded from the series 3. Looks exactly like the 3. I went in planning to get the Ultra 2, I love the look of the Ultra 2 and all the features but OMG the size of it is wayyy too big for me. Pisses me off they made it for a mans wrist. Apple could have made a smaller version for women. That watch looks absurd on a woman’s wrist and it’s heavy. Thanks a lot Apple. 😢

There are Garmin watches that last 30+ days on a single charge with AMOLED displays. I think we have the technology. Apple just prioritizes performance and having super silky animations over longer battery life.

iPhone 14 doesn’t have an UW chip so it won’t work. “Find my phone” will still trigger your phone to beep and flash its light but it won’t indicate how far you are from it or what direction.

S8 is a great watch, 98% the same as this new one. I would save the money. (Especially if you are a man, the S7 is 99% identical too. Don't need the new cycle tracking.)

Try tightening your strap. The watch relies on using the sensors to detect motion and if it's too loose it can't do that.

You have to be looking at the watch for it to work so in that sense... It will already be woken up. In this preview build it doesn't work when the screen is asleep.

In terms of heart rate, the apple watch ultra and series 9 are top performers. In GPS, they're very good and near the top of the pack.

Unlikely. Apple claims this new feature is due to a newly designed ultra wide band chip. It doesn’t use Bluetooth but a separate wireless signal.

What do you think about losing weight before getting back into running vs running and losing weight? I really miss running, but I know that if I get into running before I lose weight then I'm not going to enjoy running as much because I'll be focusing on weight loss from running. I'd much rather lose the weight and then run for fun & maintenance. Plus, easier on the joints long term, me thinks.

Great video Dave! yeah i think the apple watch ultra 2 was a waste nothing really major they should have waited another year to release the apple watch ultra 2! I think one major thing that hold the apple watch up is battery life like you said in the video. Apple watch does not get a fulls day charge! Apple needs to find a way to extend battery life in all the watches and phones also. Design of the apple watch has been the same I know alot of people want a rounded apple watch I guess it could happen but i dont think it will. I wish apple would release new products on a every year basis! will never happen cause people will always keep buying the new products. I think the changes from one year to the next in all products are minimal. you really notice a difference in that 3rd year. Idk just my two cents. keep up the great work!
