Chasing 600's/1000s 😎 Oulton Park - CB500

A bit of practice at Oulton Park before my first race with No Limits Racing at Donington park, in a few days time. I was the slowest bike in the inters group, so had a day of trying to keep up with all the 600's and 1000's, while learning to use race shift.
This is actually the first time I've ridden the CB at Oulton Park. Not the best track for the smaller 52hp engine, but was still 😊.

Yeah it was quite a fast group that day to be fair. I was by far the slowest bike in the group. Got held up a few times though in corners. I was mainly there to learn how to use race shift, which seemed to be ok in the end.

Good effort 👌. Did a track day here last August on striple rs, top track also, cadwell a corker 👍. Might need to change my cb500 into a race bike 🤔

Cheers mate. Yeah it's good fun. I might have to take my 600rr and see if I'm any better after riding the CB so much 😁 Yeah do it, it's a fun bike to thrash about, especially at cadwell

I’d love to ride a cb 500 race bike. Bet it handles very well.

They are fun to ride. They can be a bit bouncy with suspension but they handle well for a very basic old bike. More fun than anything 😄

Do you just run a standard clutch on these?

Yeah standard clutch as we aren't able to change anything on the engine for racing. Only replacing the clutch plates. 👍

What tires do you use?

Dunlop Sport smart TT. You can get more grippy ones but these are what we have to use for racing. They are good though
