I saw your video tuning this motor up and achieving an impressive power. And yeah, CB500 Twin is very popular here in Brazil (assembled here using PC26 motor and Brembo's brake system, from 1997 to 2005). Do you ever check the exhaust port temps? Most manufacturers run significantly richer than optimum at higher rpm (at full load) to protect the cylinder head from port collapse and valve damage. Did you know with the implementation of EU7 and the outlawing of component protection (running rich at higher rpm to cool exhaust valves and ports could lead to a significant drop in power output of most petrol engines. BMW have patented a system to inject water to provide the necessary cooling required for engine durability as an alternative to using excess fuel.

Very interesting video, you guys obviously know your stuff when it comes to these engines. The only thing I would do is lube the bores with engine oil not assembly lube, the rings are designed to cut through engine oil not sticky lube.
