Notice how an Amtrak's horn is smoother and brighter than a freight horn? Looks like an Acela delivery.

No such thing as a "first gen" K5, and even if there was, this would be FAR from that.

@@FanRailerBruh that’s only a short abbreviation Railfans use to pronounce different horns, that’s all that is. When will people finally understand that? Nobody has time to write out the nerdy long titles for horns each and every time. 😑🙄

This trainset uses power cars 2109 (currently leading) and 2108 (chasing). Unless they can be swapped, that is how the trainsets can be told apart - by their power cars. (I have not seen the numbers on the previous two test sets.)

Second. I wish the new Acela Avelia Liberties would also run on long-lasting batteries to run on freight and passenger paths all over America and Canada.
@davidng23363 жыл бұрын
That’s not how they were designed lol. And it’s not possible really. However Amtrak did buy battery electric train sets, at it’s rumored that they brought ALC-42E locomotives. They would replace the ACS-64s, but a handful of the 2014 electrics will remain.

Batteries are heavy and will increase weight, Hence limiting its speed
@No-le9qf3 жыл бұрын
@@HotShotDesigns3D the weight doesn’t really effect trains speed but it does decrease acceleration

What alternative route is there from Hornell to Philadelphia? They'll have to deal with Southern Tier Line congestion any way they go about it unless they go up the Corning Secondary or something like that.

@Tom Doesn’t have any help? Last time I checked these trainsets where Designed by France. So maybe the US does have help. They just don’t choose to use their resources wisely.
@banksrail3 жыл бұрын
@Tom I know what you meant. France (Alstom) “engineered” those Avelia trainsets. It’s literally based of the TGV. The only thing the US did was pay them to do it and help with the final assembly process.
