The beginning of this had my memory running. I was out fishing in a waterquest basstender with my Pop and we are both Disabled Veterans and we were out with other Veterans in Port Saint Lucie. I set the hook and the bass slips it and it’s coming right at me and I block it from my face and end up hooked in the knuckle. I had just saw jimmy Houston removal deal. So I set it up to have my Pop snatch it out, but he’s in the late 60’s and has Parkinson’s. After about 3-4 try’s he gets it out and we have a great story🤣 he passed since then but your video brought back a great memory 🙏🏻 I want to be your co angler 🙏🏻 it can even be non tournament 🤦🏻♂️

I love the hook stories. Once I hooked my hand with a jerk bait…with a Bonita still attached and going crazy. Had to get a random dude to hold the fish while I pulled the hook from my hand. Dude was not happy about it. The way the fish was hooked I couldn’t get it out of the fish first, it had the treble in both sides of its mouth, Pinned shut.

Talking about getting hooked. I got hit 3 years in a row by 3 different fishing buddies. One skipped a ish Monroe 3/4 oz spinner bait off the back of my head not the hook tho it was head of bait the lead part. Right in my cowlick area hit me so hard I got a dent in my head and it cracked my head. What’s crazy is, it skipped of my head so hard he didn’t even get a backlash and the bait flew a full cast worth still. Then another time my buddy casted a mega bass jerk bait his reel froze with about 30ft of line out and it swung around from the momentum and hit me in the side of the face on my check bone, jaw, and then the bottom hook got stuck under my jaw . Had to do the line trick with the bottom one.. it felt like someone sucker punched the hell out of me. Then punching one day my buddy was stuck in a toolie and the damn 1 oz tungsten came flying out and hit me on the bone in the corner of my eye that shit rocked me and left a lil scar it hit me so hard .. I hate when I see people get hit because someone was casting without their rod tip away or on the outside of the boat… I always cast that way.
