Nice catch. I have been here a few times but haven't seen a train in action yet. With the very cold temperatures last week, the plant probably got another load or two of coal from Mettiki. BTW, North Branch was the site of another coal burning plant that closed in 2012, though I believe they only received coal by truck.

This was very interesting. Talk about slow going, 10mph speed limit but that’s completely understandable. Man it would’ve been awesome if you could access that switchback. I’d love to see them push/pull a loaded coal up this. I bet they might have an extra couple of units, slow speed and heavy tonnage are hard on traction motors. All GEVO’s sitting on radial trucks, that yn2 AC44CW sounded a little under the weather. Great job on this👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸😎
