This might have some of my favorite shots yet, just WOW!!! That Veterans unit is just a great looking loco, and you got it leading through that little tunnel, really cool!!! Love those old school CP units at that crossing!!! Love the lighting in the scene at 9 minutes!!! Love the way you zoomed in on the moon, I have been thinking about adding the moon to one of my night videos soon, just gotta play around with what aperture to shoot it at etc.. That CP DPU right at the end is one of the dirtiest locos I have seen in awhile, man I love it when they look like that!!! Excellent video!!!

Thanks for all the props brother! It was a very cool experience with the sun setting as the two trains met at the Junction, usually doesn't always work out that way! but this time it did, also in this particular video I tried a few new angles out that I hadn't tried before. Thanks for all your support and comments!

Hi Tyson, Some more great catches today. It's always great to see the Veterans' units, especially on the head end. CN 772 EAST was pretty long, even allowing for it being empties. And poor CP 8791 sure gets the award for dirtiest locomotive. What would they do if circumstances required putting that one on the head end? Send a work gang with pressure washers, brushes & squeegees for the windows? Maybe a locomotive wash that runs them under a waterfall isn't such a ridiculous idea, lol. Many thanks for your fine work. Once again lovely to watch .

Tyson at 14:11 what is that cn car thing?
@TracksideTyson2 жыл бұрын
That is an air distributor car which basically takes over the need of a DPU for supplying air to the middle and help get air to the back or the train quicker, I noticed they use these cars mostly in Alberta during cold winter and I seen these started showing up when it got cold here also. Thanks for the curiosity.

Why is the DPU so close to the start?
@TracksideTyson2 жыл бұрын
No particular reasoning besides possibly having a set off down the line with cars around the DPU.

Yes it is, this happens often times if the train is shorter, or if the train plans to do a set off of cars close to that engine. Thanks for watching!
