I spend some time in Los Angeles , California One of the beautiful places i ever live. A big city surrounded by great people and splendid mountain’s. Across the street where i live was a park, where you could look over in the evening and see hundreds of fireflies flying around.I always thought it was a cool thing bringing back when i was young. When i was a kid such a thrill running around trying to chase those things. Seeing this day in and day out lead me to think 4 to 5 years later about all the things that have change in my life. Back then life was pretty much straight forward, you know as a child you place your value of what feels right in the present.You are not thinking about two years down the road or wondering what others are going to think. Your creativity , your sense of exploration are running in all orders. Then something happens we began to understand the way of things. We see what is value in society , what is expected , we see what success is define. So then begins the scent of the ladder step by step we climb. Looking up above us below us looking where others are. Seeing how fast they’re moving in relation to us. Eventually this requisite how we see ourself and how you know u see yourself is the best indicator of whom u become. Which is why so many people aren’t happy with there day to day that’s a huge red flag. That is breathing that is not living , folks have been climbing this ladder their entire life and never stop to ask if this is where they’re meant to be. Maybe the top of the community ladder isn’t what you want, but you never thought only acted. If you don’t think , if you don’t ask yourself the question you will climb and climb until you burn out. I try to spend a few minutes every day thinking about this, it’s one the most important thing i could spend time on. It’s my life , it’s more important than green paper, it means more than the opinion of others my backbone of everything. Everything around me and the meaning i give it stands by how i identify myself of who i am. Which brings me back to those fireflies , to running around in a hot summer evening not having a care in the world. Their is something prodigious perfect about those moment. Life is about peak experience joy excitement. So you never lose that spark because it is all that separate all beings in this planet. If we don’t have that what do we have? What separates us from ant’s moving dirt ? Everyday action based on instinct there is just no thrill in that.Why not create a life where it allows you to feel that excitement everyday. Don’t act because your suppose to, act because you desperately want to because their is no other option. Because you couldn’t live without the adventure, you couldn’t pass on the experience. Here is a secret if you get caught on a life that means nothing to you. At some point you will probably get to the top, From their u will have a beautiful view on everything u miss out on. So maybe there is something whole thing about chasing fireflies routine. Maybe a 5 year old running after a glowing bug with a jar deserves more credit than he is given.

Was thinking something similar a few days ago. I remember how simple life was when I was a kid and then how complicated things got for a while as I tried to "grow up". Funny thing is, it didn't take me long to realize that being an "adult" and compromising on the important stuff is leads to a life full of emptiness. That kid inside of us adds more value than we think and its when he/she's gone that we most often realize it.

Man, what can I say. Time and time again you pull it off. You hit it on the head on this one and I cant wait to share it with my team, my family and all others who have stapled in their mind that where they are now is where they are meant to be. Last week I was talking with a friend and he really believes where he is, is where he'll stay. A job he hates, but its safe. This blows me away. I'm talking, showing and working with him to open his mind to how big this life is and how much he can change and shape his world to be the world he wants to live in. These videos help to break away that broken way of fearful, stagnant way of thinking and I appreciate the time, energy and dedication you put in these videos. Lets do this.. Lets change one life at a time!

+Ruben Garcia (ProvenByRuben) Thanks for all the kind words man. Glad you think it will help other folks think differently....I'm sure he'll come around. One of the craziest things in Steve Jobs' biography (I'm clearly obsessed with the dude) is that he was always in such a hurry to follow passion and do what he loved because he lived with the understanding that he would "die early" and needed to make things happen. I couldn't really figure it out...it's obviously a little strange, but something about that mentality is gold. Maybe your friend would benefit from reading it

Hey man Love your videos! I have a question, I am 17 years old and have been weight training for about 3 months now. Your videos have inspired me to continue pushing through while training, and inspired me to continue waking up at 5 am. Thank you for that! I have been contemplating lately over purchasing a gaming console, or not. I would much rather read or workout, I would still do these tasks if I did purchase a console, but I get a guilt feeling while playing. I have a large amount of pressure with friends, and family who all want me to purchase it. Should I? or should I allocate the money into items for my hobby?lifting has become something I want to pursue when I grow up, I want to help and inspire people with their personal goals, like you. I would GREATLY appreciate advice! Again thank you for your inspirational words, and keeping it authentic! -David
@SHAD0W99V0RTEX7 жыл бұрын
It is unwise to force you to waste time and induce guilt in yourself just over the opinions of others. Don't let others bring you down or tell you how to live your life. Besides, you can try to reverse the tables and pressure family and friends to pick up lifting and reading but respect their choices if they don't want to. Certain people see more fulfillment by playing on the console than reading non-fiction.
