I think you had a lot of thoughts worth sharing in this video. The thesis you're getting at is good, its honest, and I think I agree with it. The way that you wrote this script left you with a somewhat confused final product. I think the script you have for this video is a great rough draft. If you were to have started from the top, outlined the 2.0 version of this video, and used the script you had here as your notes to build that version from, then you could have had a really good essay on Silent Hill 2 that's different from what most people think and say about the game.

I like the game, my biggest gripe with it is it's not a really good horror game. I mean there are some scary and tense moments in it but it doesn't come even close to 1 and 3 (or even 4 and Homecoming) in terms of horror.

Critique of SH2's game design and plot would be batted away with "Those were choices to make SH2 feel dreamlike and uncanny" or, "SH2 is about atmosphere, not gameplay", though I agree, that doesn't leave room for people with different experiences. Video games are basically going through somebody's life, but through the lense of your own memories, so video games are very personal, and so everyone has varied perspectives on the game, because no two people have the same feelings and experiences. It's just that the SH2 fanbase has tried to force the same experience on everyone, and if you don't agree, you just don't understand the beauty of the game. I suggest if you ever pick up SH2 again toplay it without having to conform to the opinions of other people, and soaking it up the way you want.

Amazing video! Im looking forward to more of these. Def was not expecting this when I came across your channel hahaha! Im sure its frustrating cause rn ur really blowing up with the Yugioh content and you prob wanna try other types of content as well BUT long term brother trust me the time you put into these Yugioh videos will pay off. They are evergreen and are all connected so if someone watches one they will usually watch another. I work full time as a content manager across 5 different KZbin channels (all with over 100k) and I gotta say it was a very smart series idea. This video is fantastic though and I can't wait for you to do more vids talking about other types of games!!!

I agree with a lot of your criticisms of the gameplay especially when you compare it to Resident Evil, but it feels like you’ve allowed the critical acclaim of this game to skew your expectations. You seem to have played it with a contrarian mindset. No hate by the way, just an observation.
