This scene I have taken into my life at a moment where I was about to sit an exam after 3 years of study in a foreign country, as a chef. Was the last thing I looked at before I entered the room to sit the practical test, a 5 course meal for 4 people in under 4 hours, it helped me just do it, kill it, I passed but the important thing is i come back today to watch it, to keep me in gear to keep it up. Great scene that goes deep personaly

The part where he said he felt like he would t be around for very long. 😔 it’s sad he basically knew he was dying soon.

This movie is The reason why I surf. It spoke to me on so many levels and the sea was calling me my whole life

This movie made me pick up a surfboard and learn. It also made me travel to the Big Sur, Mavericks in particular, and just watch the rollers smash in. Im stiill learning to this day with only limited time in the water due to my locale (I live in Lincolnshire and work in London). However, I so wish I had a father figure like this is my young life (I'm now 49). "Not all sons are born to you" as was quoted in this film by his wife, hit me large. A great movie

The end will come when it will come. One’s worst enemy is his own fears. If you don’t stare these fears straight in the eyes and squash it with your inner desire and strength, then you will remain a coward for the rest of your life. What we do while we are here must echo in eternity.
