Cool video. Thanks for sharing. Gotta love the classic EMD sounds. Some of those shots look like scenes straight out of a model railroad.

Gotta love those former UP SD40-2's with the snoot nose. Which railroad is Lehigh Gorge? I've never heard of that one.
@trainz162313 жыл бұрын
@LycoValleyRRFan They were used for hauling new rail on the Lehigh side of the railroad. We dropped them off in Jim Thorpe for the JTQA to pick them up and take them back to NS.

Nice braying "manly" tone, isn't it? I like the major 7th chord the horn sounds after it has passed by. The horn is a Leslie RS5T. It was once used by CSX, Seaboard System, Family Lines, Seaboard Coast Line ,KCS, MKT, and Montana Rail Link. I don't know how many other railroads had RS5T's.

@o00o00ozy Oh ok. Is that engine the one that pulls the excursions or is it just painted up to promote it. I can't imagine someone needing that big of a locomotive to pull a tourist train but then again, New Hope & Ivyland uses a C30-7 sometimes on their excursions.

Love the Reading and Northern! Maybe they should get some more units from EMD or something. As their trains get heavier they should start adding more trains and more units. Just my opinion.

Why was a NS train at RBMN's North Reading yard?
@CentralPennRailProductions10 жыл бұрын
Fast Freight Productions That's where they interchange the coal trains.
@carsons.916610 жыл бұрын
I thought they did that at the yard in Center City Reading. This this make RBMN's appearance in Spring Street yard obsolete?
@CentralPennRailProductions10 жыл бұрын
They interchange their freight in Reading. Sometimes they pick up their coal empties there too, but sometimes NS delivers it to them. It really just depends on what crews are available on either side of the railroad.
@carsons.916610 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I've been chasing RBMN for a long time, and never knew about NS coming into North Reading yard.
