@@cr_carping_adventures pick a spot you're fairly confident has fish coming and going... pre-bait with chopped mackerel every second day for a week and fish it... don't move yer (injected) baits around, cast out same spot every time and sit and wait... I GUARANTEE you will get bites...TIME is the biggest "catcher" of pike... 😎👍☘️🍻

Yeah, lamprey used to be my favouritive bait ... but gone way too spendy these days... bought 10 pkts of good quality full lamprey for a discounted price of €13/pkt (3 full fish) ... that hurts the pocket...😤 tbh, lately, I've been having really good results with smelt... to thepoint that I would now say its my new fave bait !!... 😉 😎👍☘️🍻

@peterfitzpatrick7032 yeah the packet I bought was £10 for 4 smallish sections of it. There is a website online that sold it fairly cheap but not too sure how big the sections of it were. But for £10 I thought I’d give them ago! Been doing well on roach and bream recently but definitely need the extra scent on rivers! 🐊🎣

​@@parklandpiker ...as long as they catch us fish, they're money well spent...last week, I caught an 18 10 on a lamprey section, injected it and put it back out in the same spot and caught a 14 10 an hour later... money well spent on that bait !... 🙄😂 😎👍🏻☘️🍻
