Cant wait for next weeks episode….’Welcome to another Sammy Hitzke fishing adventure! Today ladies and gentleman we are fishing the rapids of the Brisbane river chasing some threadies and dodging pontoons. We got seano and the phantom on board with us with the wet weather gear on and sporting some of the new merch . We are going to be road testing out the new Wilson 750kg anchor to see if it has the goods to hold us steady. We might even have a cheeky throw of the net and see if we can get onto some prawns or a half sunken yacht. Stick around guys you don’t wanna miss this action.’

I like longer rods too. The standard Salmon/Steelhead rod for rivers on the west coast USA is 8'6". I like that length but I have had rods up to 10' which like you say casts farther, and the action wears the fish out faster as well.
